Dusty Chalk Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 All their stuff on youtube/myspace I totally have a crush on the girl(a) I kind of hate people who make it look so easy; ( They kind of rock; © Who is she reminding me of, vocally? Specifically that semi-high note that she hits about 0:15-0:16? And then again when she's harmonizing with herself ~0:40-0:46? (d) She is easy on the eyes, isn't she? (e) What headphones are they using?
Dusty Chalk Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) PS Some really delicious tone on that bass. Anneke van Giersbergen & Danny Cavanagh, In Parallel -- acoustic live set, lotta covers (Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, really?) Edited October 1, 2009 by Dusty Chalk

feckn_eejit Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 XTC - Wasp Star (2000) The third track, "In Another Life" is so fucking ridiculously good................ come to think of it I'm not sure there's a single Colin Moulding-penned XTC track in their entire catalogue I don't really like. And his bass playing! Pfft! And that fabulous Wal tone on most of _Oranges and Lemons_ and bits of _Nonsuch_ (particularly "That Wave"... fucking monstrous bass track!) I even love that great big ball of cheese, "Wonderland"... which I'm actually going to switch to now. XTC - Mummer (1983)
jinp6301 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Putting my desert island albums into the new ipod and had to stop and listen to this MFSL
feckn_eejit Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Shifting gears significantly.... Walter Becker - Circus Money (2008) One of the best sounding commercially released redbook CDs I've heard... not too far off the "perfection" mark really.
n_maher Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Swallow The Sun - Ghosts of Loss It has been one of those days.
Hopstretch Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 The Verve -- A Northern Soul A wicked head-trip of an album.
