Dusty Chalk Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Devin Townsend Project, Ki -- more variety and softer sections than previous albums, really nice modern production, this one will be on heavy rotation until the new Porc Tree comes out

Dusty Chalk Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Cool. I hope you found some stuff that you like. I am now thinking about putting together Zeuhl compilation, but work gets in the way.Definitely. That Moonshake track, Joker John, is really awesome -- something special -- and I didn't even realize you had put a Hirsche Nicht Auf Sofa track on there -- I love H.N.A.S./Christoph Heemann/Mimir, although didn't realize H.N.A.S. was considered Krautrock. I presume you're familiar with the Legendary Pink Dots (who are heavily Krautrock-influenced)? I'm liking the rest of it, too.

While not krautrock per se these bands have a lot of elements of krautrock and other 70's experimental music. H.N.A.S. even release a fake krautrock album in the 1980's pretending it's a long lost krautrock treasure just resently discovered, freaky stuff. Check out Anna Karina on the cover. n.p.
