Hopstretch Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins -- Rabbit Fur Coat They warn you about killers and thieves in the night. I worry about cancer and living right. But my mama never warned me about my own destructive appetite. I love Jenny. Edited July 6, 2009 by Hopstretch
Hopstretch Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 ^^^ An interesting test for the 800s, in fact. An "intentionally bright" album and yet it sounds really superb. No excessive sibilance (OK, maybe a trace on "Just Like A Woman"), no gratuitously splashy cymbals. Riveting, honestly.
howdydude Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 World Party -- Goodbye Jumbo An infallible pick-me-up. I used to listen to this one a lot, but haven't in years. Thanks for the reminder!
grawk Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Yah, world party was a favorite of mine in college. For me, Ana Caram - Blue Bossa the blue hawaii has me in a "great recording" mood
Hopstretch Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) The Cranberries -- Gold The first two albums were really something. And then ... pfft. Edited July 7, 2009 by Hopstretch
riceboy Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Good album. X2. I liked this album out of all of the earlier McCartney albums for sure

howdydude Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Wilco (The Album) Vinyl, on the brand spanking new headphones only "rock" rig. And so what's your take on this one?
Voltron Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Wilco (The Album) Vinyl, on the brand spanking new headphones only "rock" rig. Me too, except on the Rhapsody->Audiophile Desktop->trying to work rig.
