feckn_eejit Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Nice, DigiPete! How about a solo album from Haircut One Hundred's lead singer?
DigiPete Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Nice, DigiPete! How about a solo album from Haircut One Hundred's lead singer? Cool..... similar sound to 100?
feckn_eejit Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Well, it's in the same ball park I suppose... not as energetic and not as much instrumentation going on. This one came out in '93 so he was a fair bit older... either way I think it has some great tracks on it, and some not-so-great as well. I kind of put it in the same pile as a couple of mid-90's albums from Squeeze which I really like - Some Fantastic Place, and Ridiculous. Not as fun as the old stuff but has some great moments.
DigiPete Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 SADE -- Love is Stronger than Pride CD remaster
faust3d Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Miminokoto - Orange Garage (2005) Groovy underground psych-rock from Tokyo. Very retro sounding, good stuff.

Edwood Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Yay, CCM. I dropped out of a lot of lessons with many different instruments there as a kid. I'm listening to Holtz Planets - Jupiter from the weird BluSpec sampler CD I won in the CanJam Auction.
guzziguy Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Eric Alexander Quartet - Lazy Afternoon ~ Gentle Ballads IV This is one of six CDs that I bought from Hajime@Eastwind at CanJam. Sorry for the small image, it was the only one I could find.

Hopstretch Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Gomez -- A New Tide Not as good as the last one. But well ahead of 95% of the other shite out there today.

jp11801 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Art Pepper + Eleven Just picked up the vinyl that Steve Hoffman got me jazzed to pick up. Definitely one of the best LPs I own, can't wait to needle drop this one.
