Dusty Chalk Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Tapping the Vein, Another Day Down -- Heather Thompson is still one of my favorite hard rock singers, mostly because she has a delicate girly-girl voice (I bet she has a great phone voice), that rocks out when necessary. Plus, it's my favorite kind of music -- synthy gothy hard rock (cf. Garbage, Curve, Stabbing Westward, et al).

en480c4 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 St. Vincent -- Actor How is that? I've been meaning to track it down.
Voltron Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 (edited) How is that? I've been meaning to track it down. Liking it on first listen. Want to focus a little more next time because I am "distracted" by my work right now. I would say it sounds a little heavier than Marry Me and has more rockin' songs and crunchy guitars. I think it is a good combo with her sweet vocals. More listening required. Edited May 18, 2009 by Voltron
en480c4 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Cool, thanks. Tori Amos - Abnormally Attracted To Sin
Dusty Chalk Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Abnormally Attracted to Tori Amos would be more like it. Me-Ow! That's quite possibly my favorite album cover since Little Earthquakes. Me: Tangerine Dream, Sorceror soundtrack -- I'm in an analogue synthesisers (what, Firefox? I'm pretty sure it's spelled with a 'Z', motherfucker) and arpeggiator mood.
MoonShine Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 St. Vincent - Marry Me Along with the afore mentioned St. Vincent. Thanks Voltron, loving this.
Voltron Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Listened to Slope again. Now: Sufjan Stevens -- Come on Feel the Illinoise
