aardvark baguette Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) Never imagined myself branching out into opera, but here we are. This is apparently taken from analogue masters, remastered at 96/24bit. Much cheaper than the esoterics, but then again its redbook. Edited December 23, 2010 by aardvark baguette
mypasswordis Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Funny stuff, I also decided to listen to some solo piano stuff today. Currently, Gilels Brahms Concertos 1 and 2

deepak Posted December 26, 2010 Author Report Posted December 26, 2010 kenny dorham - afro cuban music matters vinyl
deepak Posted December 27, 2010 Author Report Posted December 27, 2010 How is this? I probably won't be coming back to it too often, a bit bizarre even for Patton. Mostly Italian pop stuff with an orchestra/chorus. Minus the orchestra and chorus section I think it would have been very good, his vocal parts are very very good the rest was superfluous.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 ...a bit bizarre even for Patton...That's saying something.Mostly Italian pop stuff with an orchestra/chorus. So "trad" is the new 'bizarre'?
deepak Posted December 27, 2010 Author Report Posted December 27, 2010 That's saying something. So "trad" is the new 'bizarre'? wat has he released other Italian pop albums? I admit I haven't heard everything by him but pretty sure I have heard most of it.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 No, that's my point, anything that could be described as "pop" is probably more traditional than anything else he's done, including Faith No More. Am I misunderstanding what you're describing? Never mind, I'll just go listen to it from somewhere, find out for myself.

Plenty of live clips from the new album on Youtube, and I prefer to listen to them that way since his facial expressions add to the music. And calling pop music bizarre is like my opinion man. Avantgarde metal is perfectly normal
