Dusty Chalk Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Notwist, "12": Red is the colour of being weak. White is the colour of being asleep. Red is the colour of being weak. White is the colour of being a sheep. Red is the colour of why am I so weak.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) The Orb w/David Gilmour, Metallic Spheres -- just what it sounds like, classic the Orb grooves, with arguably the greatest guitarist jamming on top of it. But the out-of-tune-with-each-other samples shit has got to go -- that's about as annoying to me as growling metal vocals. Edited October 26, 2010 by Dusty Chalk

Salt Peanuts Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Jazz At Oberlin
Dusty Chalk Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) Needed to get a fix of some old Deep Purple, so listening to a random sampling of tracks from Shades of..., Book of Taliesyn, and the self-titled one. Essentially, Purple Passages, the album I grew up with. Edited October 26, 2010 by Dusty Chalk
boomana Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Brotherhood Of Sleep - Brotherhood Of Sleep I've been hooked on this EP the past few days. I like it.
boomana Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 yah...but it not all corny like most metal.
The Monkey Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Didn't know where else to put this, but for the Joy Division fans: Rare Joy Division pics.
Salt Peanuts Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Ray Charles -- Rare Genius Al, how is it?
Voltron Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) Didn't know where else to put this, but for the Joy Division fans: Rare Joy Division pics. Those are very cool Dinny. And I shouldn't be looking at them while getting ready for trial. Now playing: Al, how is it? It was good and had a different feel on a couple tracks than the archetypal Ray album, and the sound was pretty good. I was rather distracted while playing it last night in my office, so I will definitely have to listen more to have any real sense. Edited October 26, 2010 by Voltron
blessingx Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Now on to the box set. Starting with The Times They Are A-Changing.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 :wumpscut:, Siamese -- classic old school electro-industrial. "Loyal to My Hate" is a favorite track, I might have to make it my ringtone:
mypasswordis Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 yah...but it not all corny like most metal. Wouldn't say most, but a lot of it is corny so I mostly agree
