faust3d Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Got a free Emkog Label sampler CD, listening to Deluge Grander and Birds and Buildings stuff of it, nice retro-prog with a lot of influences yet it's own voice. I might pick up this album latter as I like all the songs from it:
robm321 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 The second and third and Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini are all ridicu-awesome. I also really like the 4th concerto. I agree. It is a great performance.
mypasswordis Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Too bad he never recorded the fourth. In fact, surprisingly few people have.
GPH Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Wow, Iron Maiden gone experimental (by their standards, at least), it's incredible that they call pull stuff like this after 30 years playing together! On first listen, I prefer this album to 'A Matter Of Life A Death' and 'Dance Of Death', and it might fall just a notch behind 'Brave New World' as my favorite album since Bruce coming back. The sound quality of the MP3 leak sucks unfortunately, hopefully the CD will sound way better than this.
