Cankin Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Did you see the little show he put on at the AMAs? There's being out, and there's being out there. I guess these are the tricks pop stars use to make noise??
Dusty Chalk Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Interesting -- in one fell swoop, he cemented his icon-like status in the gay community, and completely turned off all the homophobes. A line Madonna, for one, is smart enough not to completely cross, though she has been close enough to the line to feel the draw for decades. Oh, well, sure hope he likes disco. Good luck on the reinvention in a couple years there, fella!
Voltron Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Yeah, that is some short-sighted shit right there. Plus, does he have to be a woman just to be "out"? Listening to the ironically titled: John Zorn -- Femina

aardvark baguette Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 finally bought more pinback
Hopstretch Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 I like Pinback. I also really like this. Built To Spill -- There Is No Enemy Vinyl.
Voltron Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 finally bought more pinback I don't recall listening to Pinback on purpose before, so I checked out Offcell and liked it, and now I am listening to their debut record: Pinback -- Pinback
aardvark baguette Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 I don't recall listening to Pinback on purpose before, so I checked out Offcell and liked it, and now I am listening to their debut record: Pinback -- Pinback The only one I've heard (until now) is Summer In Aboddon. I like it because there's not one overtly distorted guitar on the entire album, and yet its electric indie-pop-ish. Its catchy. I've ordered the rest of their stuff used at Amazon and am watching it trickle in one at a time.

mypasswordis Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 I'm pretty sure I'm going to dream about the steady 33 1/3 rpm's of LPs (there's none moar black) in my sleep soon. Also Radiohead is pretty kickass, I kind of want at least the newest album as an LP.
Hopstretch Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Wrong. You want them all as LPs. Shape up.
