Hopstretch Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 It's a heck of an enjoyable listen, at least for me, what else you want to know? Probably not enough guitar wankery for your average Yngwe fan. 10cc -- The Original Soundtrack

boomana Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Just got this today. I've always been a fan of her songwriting, but somehow missed this one, which came out a few years ago. Maybe it's just the good mood I'm in, but it may be my favorite.

Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Was listening to Swallow the Sun, The Morning Never Came in the car earlier -- rawk!
Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Metric, Fantasies -- I like this better than Live it Out, but not as much as Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?

en480c4 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Metric, Fantasies -- I like this better than Live it Out, but not as much as Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? Fantasies has taken the lead for me. I think OWU,WAYN? is a stronger album than LIO, but the strongest songs on LIO are stronger than anything on OWU,WAYN?, so that's the one I always reached for. Now it's no contest... The songs on Fantasies are very strong, and as an album it's solid throughout. My favorite by far.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I'd have to give it more time before I decided for certain. OWU,WAYN? has had the distinct advantage of going into "religious rotation" for a while, whereas Fantasies is still completely new. I have no idea what's wrong with LIO for me, but I just don't get it.
