The Monkey Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I will be DL'ing that Kinks album tonight.
Hopstretch Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) I will be DL'ing that Kinks album tonight. Just did. It sounds really good. Better than the 2004 DSD remaster. Great album! PS: I've been in that pub. It's still a fucking dump. Edited October 15, 2009 by Hopstretch
robm321 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Krupa And Rich I guess "Hi-Fi" meant crappy recording back then, but musically an outstanding recording loaded with some of the best of all time talent, not limited to the drummers.

Voltron Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) I will be DL'ing that Kinks album tonight. Just did. It sounds really good. Better than the 2004 DSD remaster. Great album! PS: I've been in that pub. It's still a fucking dump. Nice! I have 3 or 4 of the Kinks on HDTracks 24/96 and they all sound pretty great. DL'ing was much smoother this last time than my previous HDT purchases. Not sure if my end or theirs, but I was happy. An odd mix of listening so far today: Flaming Lips -- Embryonic Terry Reid -- The River Julie London -- Julie Is Her Name [Todd says the new 45rpm release of vol. 1 is teh awsum, so I was checking it out.] And now playing: Lyle Lovett --Natural Forces Edited October 15, 2009 by Voltron

Voltron Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Did you ever get any of the Kinks in hi-rez, Dusty?
Dusty Chalk Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Not yet, but I will definitely be joining y'all on that particular bandwagon. I <3 The Kinks.

Hopstretch Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) John Mellencamp -- The Lonesome Jubilee Shit, I remember making out with my high school girlfriend to this album.
