Dusty Chalk Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Yello, Touch Yello -- Yello may well be a top 20 band for me.Listening to it on Spotify right now. I didn't know the band. First tune is promising Oh, you're in for a treat.
Hopstretch Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I think you and I are pretty much the entire Yello faction on HC, Dusty. The Flaming Lips -- The Soft Bulletin
Voltron Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 WPA -- Works Progress Administration The players as listed in the Amazon description: WPA (Works Progress Administration) consists of some of the most accomplished and legendary musicians in today's American music scene. Founding members Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek), and Luke Bulla (Jerry Douglas Band, Ricky Skaggs, Lyle Lovett) have teamed up with Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Greg Leisz (Joni Mitchell, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Beck), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Randy Newman), and Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Cracker), and long-time acclaimed producer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Rolling Stones). This is a really nice album. I ended up having to go to NH to have drinks with Nate, Ian, Stretch and Jeff (and do some work), but my wife went to see them recently and they were great according to her.
aardvark baguette Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I think you and I are pretty much the entire Yello faction on HC, Dusty. I still haven't converted mine to alac yet.
