DigiPete Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009  ...but needs moar bonus tracks -- Touch Dance in its entirety, in particular, would have been nice. I need to get needledroppin'. Each disc has about 6 bounus tracks, some acoustic versions or extended versions. Touch has the following extra tracks: 10. You take some lentils and you take some rice (from Who's That Girl 7") 11. ABC [Freeform] (from Who's That Girl 12") 12. Plus something else (from Right by your side 12") 13. Paint a Rumour [Long Version] (from Here Comes the Rain 12") 14. Who's that Girl [Live] (from The Miracle of Love 12") 15. Here Comes the Rain Again [Live] unreleased 16. Fame [unreleased]
Dusty Chalk Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I need the two mixes of "Cool Blue" from Touch Dance. That was "my song", back in the day. But really, the whole "EP" would have been nice.

Hopstretch Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 ^^^ Like that a lot. Rodriguez -- Cold Fact Lot of interesting history with this one. Sank without a ripple in the US after release in 1970. Slowly became a huge cult hit in New Zealand and South Africa, of all places. Still possibly the spark-up album of choice when I was at the University of Cape Town in the late 80s. Nice remastered reissue here, finally, last year. Recommended.

My second favourite Dire Straits album, after _Communique_... gotta love cranking "Private Investigations". Gave the '85 SPG a SERIOUS wash today. Lots of Steely Dan and shitty lager to fuel the endeavour.
