mulveling Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 On vinyl: I better get this stuff out of my system now, before the girlfriend comes over for the weekend. She won't be having any of this kind of music. No Jethro Tull or most prog rock or metal, either. Forget classical (not that I listen too much) Fortunately we both enjoy Kiss, 80's, and rock operas together
guzziguy Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Fortunately we both enjoy Kiss, 80's, and rock operas together Good, I was just about to suggest that maybe you needed to get the girlfriend out of your system. Still ...
Old Pa Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Snowing here, lightly. Lovely. BTW, original release vinyl.
Duggeh Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 I have fallen totally back in love with this CD.

postjack Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 I better get this stuff out of my system now, before the girlfriend comes over for the weekend. She won't be having any of this kind of music. No Jethro Tull or most prog rock or metal, either. Forget classical (not that I listen too much) Fortunately we both enjoy Kiss, 80's, and rock operas together My girlfriend can't do Phish or the Grateful Dead. She'll tolerate a little Widespread Panic, since they are more of a blues/rock band then a jamband, but she thinks Phish is "just horrible, horrible noise". Sometimes I'm listening to an extended jam and I realize I can't argue with her. But its horrible, horrible noise I love. Fortunately we both enjoy metal, alt-country, and classical together. Death - The Sound of Perseverance Jimmy Herring - Lifeboat ^^^oh yeah, that is the good shit. My respect for Herring as a guitarist continues to grow. He brings an amazing jazziness to his playing without offending any rock sensibilities.
