Voltron Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 It's lonely in here. No, that's not the title of the album I am listening to, it is just a statement of fact. Not much action in the split thread. Sadness lingers... Brad Mehldau -- The Art of the Trio Vol. 2 - Live at the Village Vanguard
Dusty Chalk Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Dir en Grey, Uroboros -- digging. These guys are like the Led Zeppelin of Japan. They have that combination of being able to go from hard to soft, plus the creativity. But this is more like circa 2000 hard rather than circa 1970 hard, so ... what was "metal" then would only be considered "hard rock" now. This is metal, by today's standards.
Genetic Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Impressive to say the least. Call him BO.... Amicalement

Dusty Chalk Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 And One, Aggressor -- synthpop at its German (Viva le Deutschland!) finest -- the guy has a serious Alan Wilder fetish, and a really nice singing voice that doesn't have that typical Austrian accent -- just enough to be pleasing without being overwhelming.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 Love Spirals, Windblown Kiss -- worldy.
