We called it armistice day, then realized that euros were a bunch of thankless prigs, so now we just say thanks to our own vets :)

I have to say that I stopped myself from posting a question as to whether the Brits manage to remember that we saved their assess a couple of times last century and lost a lot of good men and women in the process. Good thing I stopped myself. :rolleyes:

We still call it armistice day here although technically it was yesterday given the timezone difference. Attendance at the remembrance ceremonies is getting higher each year. Good to see those who've served getting the respect they deserve.

I was just being an ass. I'm thankful for anyone who serves, on our side or the other in any given conflict. If you care about your way of life enough to fight for it, you have my respect.
