The Monkey Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Not that this pissing contest over OSes isn't interesting and all, but... Does anyone know if there is a utility out there to lock the volume settings for OS X? Or, alternatively, a way to limit the maximum volume, I guess like the option on the iPod.

Not quite sure if this is what you're looking for - macosxhints.com - Set default startup volume from boot volume screen

I guess what I'm looking for is a volume limiter such that the volume cannot be set beyond a certain level, or alternatively, something that would lock the volume so people couldn't turn it way too high.

grawk Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 You could use pliars and pull the volume keys off the keyboard
