blessingx Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Very nice. Like the gay-friendly ribbons. Is that button above the headphone jack or a light? Quote

ojnihs Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 nice shit, you using the balanced out to power your hd650s? Quote
tiberian Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 nice shit, you using the balanced out to power your hd650s? yea, i don't have any single ended sennheiser cable right now to test the headphone out of the dac. more impressions... in comparision to the transporter the CEC dac resolved ambient information well - noticeably better than the transporter. i can certainly understand why some people wasn't impressed by the transporter - some of the essence just wasn't there. morphsci Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 some of the essence just wasn't there. Is that an audiophile term? Quote
grawk Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I don't think you're really doing much of a test if you're using the XLR outs on the dac to test. I mean, it's great if it works, but it's just dumb luck when it does. Quote
morphsci Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 ^^^ But how else can you hear all the essence? Quote
Pars Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Nice meter, whatever it's for... and the rainbow cables have to be a big contributor to the essence. Props to the number of caps they stuffed in there. The stand up cards are interesting as they almost indicate future moar better pluggables? Quote
n_maher Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Nice meter, whatever it's for... I think it's just volume. Quote
