Chekhonte Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 I've made sure all of my cart is correctly connected but I'm not getting any music through the right channel and there is a loud buzzing hum that sounds like perhaps it's not properly grounded or something. Can anybody help me figure out how to fix this problem?
luvdunhill Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 maybe a bit more detail would be helpful. Do you have the ground wire from the tonearm attached?
Chekhonte Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 I'm a total darsh, I figured it out. There was a loose pin connector that would slipped off just enough to look connected but wasn't. go figure.
postjack Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 to fix the hum, I suggest you upgrade to a nottingham hyperspace, like the one mike is selling.
Chekhonte Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 It sounds pretty good. I have the lowest of the low budget grado carts in it now but it sounds better than my old turntable. I plan on upgrading the tonearm and soldering in some descent cables in the near future too.
