blessingx Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Anything besides Blue Jeans LC-1 ICs I should consider for $50 or under a pair?
iceman94 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Used Cobalt Cable ICs? I have a pair I like better than my Blue Jeans, but that's only regarding cable flexibility and appearance. I think the Blue Jeans are too inflexible- although I don't have LC-1, but Belden 1694A, which is stiffer, the Cobalt stuff is really easy to work with. Also, I think the connectors w/ their white and red rubber things look cheap and stupid. I've never compared ICs re: sound. Their new price is high, but I got a 1.5m RCA pair for ~$30-40 on Head-fi.
blessingx Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Looks like AudioArtCable has IC-1s on clearance right now too. Had good luck with their IC-3s. Hmmm.
Asr Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Signal Cable's Analog Two can be had for $54 at 3' with the standard Neutrik plugs. And their Analog One is $40 for 3'.
n_maher Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Blue Jeans is about as close to paying a DIY'er as it gets, therefore if you're happy with the aesthetic you probably can't beat the price.
Grahame Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Cheap?, you want cheap? how about For only $1.75 each when QTY 50+ purchased - PREMIUM 2 RCA Plug/2 RCA Plug M/M 22AWG Cable - 3ft | RCA Audio Cables For only $2.19 each when QTY 50+ purchased - PREMIUM 2 RCA Plug/2 RCA Plug M/M 22AWG Cable - 6ft | RCA Audio Cables Just don't tell the electrons how cheap the cables were. They might not want to come out and play.
Fungi Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 It says they're coax cables so I'm assuming it's 1 conductor 1 shield gnd.
