purk Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Gross some people cancelled there bids and now I'm the high bidder. Biggie. Congrats then
John E Woven Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Gross some people cancelled there bids and now I'm the high bidder. Biggie. I'm so sorry.
wrecked_porsche Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Look on the bright side. At the current price, its a steal compared to the previous one that sold on ebay. I don't think you have to worry though, the price is sure to shoot up like crazy in the dying minutes of the auction.

elnero Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Gross some people cancelled there bids and now I'm the high bidder. Biggie. Be honest, you really want them so you can use them at work and banish the SR-60's.
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Be honest, you really want them so you can use them at work and banish the SR-60's. Yeah but I'm gonna need a payday advance to pay for them. Biggie.
purk Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Yeah but I'm gonna need a payday advance to pay for them. Biggie. At least...you still have fund to pay for them!!
Torpedo Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 9 hours to go and still at 2600$... I don't think they end at that price
Knuckledragger Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 30 seconds left, $2,650. ... $3,161.00 final, a bargain at twice the price.
d_rayman Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 30 seconds left, $2,650. ... $3,161.00 final, a bargain at twice the price. woot nice jumping price  congratulation the winner and sorry for his/her wallet :palm:
GPH Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 The guy who paid 4700$ for the pair on sale before that one must feel kind of bad. A difference of 1600$ for small scratches on the cups. He probably doesn't give a shit though if he could afford paying 4700$ on a pair of PS-1.
Voltron Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 scratches + godawful chrome Yeah, I might pay $3,161 not to see that thing ever again.
n_maher Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Yeah, I might pay $3,161 not to see that thing ever again. First thing I'd do is send the cups off to be refinished. I'm thinking that making them the only black anodized PS-1s might actually make them worth something.
riceboy Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I was watching that auction as well to see how high it would go. Congrats to the winner if you're here. Sure beats the last price of $4700
Akabeth Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if the 'last' PS-1 from the collection is a one of a kind 24k gold plated version with no scratches.... or a sterling silver plated + diamond encrusted version.... Imagine what it'll fetch.
Voltron Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 First thing I'd do is send the cups off to be refinished. I'm thinking that making them the only black anodized PS-1s might actually make them worth something. Wow, that is a sweet idea!
n_maher Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Wow, that is a sweet idea! Yeah, and as usual I lack the funds to even entertain doing something like that. I designed some custom aluminum grado cups a couple years ago but was put off by the fabrication costs. I may revisit the idea some day if I can find a pair of wounded or abused 225s cheap.
deepak Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 If there was a way to get that much bass out of an MS2/i that would be nice. Aside from the Alessandro markings, IIRC people sell those aluminum cups for about $50.
Knuckledragger Posted December 25, 2008 Author Report Posted December 25, 2008 Not quite as noteworthy as PS-1s, but there's some guy selling HP2s right now.
F1GTR Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Not quite as noteworthy as PS-1s, but there's some douchey fucking dolphin selling HP2s right now. ftfy
Knuckledragger Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 ftfy ? I'm ignorant on the backstory here. Is the seller a head-fier with a bad reputation that I unaware of (whch would be all of them, I don't read head-fi.)
lostonetr Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Might be the guy who had 2 accounts @ hfi, buy with one, sell back at higher price with other. Remember he had a name similar to waddragon and might have been located in Berkeley too.
guzziguy Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Might be It's the guy asshat who had 2 accounts @ hfi, buy with one, sell back at higher price with other. Remember he had a name similar to waddragon and might have been located in Berkeley too. FIFY
