mjg Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 who's graduating college? don't we rule? I'm gonna be 26 this summer... bout FUCKING time. It's pouring rain, and my stupid graduation outfit is gonna get all wet... what to do hmph. Quote
Nanoha Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Congrats. Graduate school or working next? Quote
philodox Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Congrats! I'm 26 myself... but graduated 5 years ago. Though our 'college' up here is a little different... our 'university' is closer to what you yanks call college. Quote
mjg Posted May 19, 2006 Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 thanks people, i'm not sure about grad school anymore... I was sort of offered a scholarship but only if I got a really good GRE score... I really lost the motivation and bombed the GRE when I took it.... I think i just want a job for now. I'm pretty schooled out : / No immediate plans. Quote
acs236 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Sorry to hear that. Graduating college is one of the worst things that can happen to you. Quote
mjg Posted May 19, 2006 Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 thanks everyone, bout to go out and celebrate some more... get some food and stuff. hard to believe its over... so far i'm at a 2.98, i need to get back one more grade... if it's another A I might hit over a 3 for my final cum. GPA. Quote
n_maher Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Heh, I graduated with a 3.00 as well. Took a lot of work considering one year of school consisited of a 1.75 and 1.67, that was the year I declared "Fall Break" and took a week off during first semester. One piece of advice, if you can have some fun for your last summer DO IT. Life is different once you start working full time, not necessarily in a bad way, just very different. Enjoy the time you have while you have it. Congrats man, Nate Quote
Guest sacd lover Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Congrat MJG! You get capitals now that you are all grown up. Plus, I am munching on a pretzel in your honor as I type. Quote
recstar24 Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 congrats man, we are all proud of you! please let us know your future plans and update us on the job search Quote
hirsch Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 DON"T DO IT!!! Find a mistake on your transcript showing that actually you need several more semesters to graduate. Once you take that degree, you can't get back in. You'll also be the receipt of fund-raising requests from that university for the rest of your natural life (and probably into the hereafter). You'll also find that you need a job!! Ugh. Working is definitely overrated. Take my advice kids: stay in school!!!! Quote
grawk Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 No way, life is so much better when you get into the real world. You do things for a reason, instead of because some egg head decides it's what he wants... Quote
ojnihs Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Congratz on graduating. I still got a year left in college so I'm still a young'en. I'm sort of terrified about getting out into the real world though...not quite sure why. I mean I'm going to med school after and all, but still... Quote
