n_maher Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Maybe he'll bring new toys. It's almost a guarantee that he'll bring something new, never seen before, and forget whatever amp it was that he was supposed to deliver to the person who's been waiting for longer than most would deem reasonable.
guzziguy Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 It's almost a guarantee that he'll bring something new, never seen before, and forget whatever amp it was that he was supposed to deliver to the person who's been waiting for longer than most would deem reasonable. Here's a chance to see if he's really changing his business model a bit. I will say that he brought nothing totally new to the June NorCal meet. He brought the Odyssey but we saw it at CanJam. He also brought an SDS-XLR (or something similar) that he was delivering. So maybe he really is fixing things.
n_maher Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 I for one am hopeful that he is getting the ship righted, this hobby needs more choices, not less.

guzziguy Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 Justin, are you bringing the BHSE prototype? I would think that Ray will have his stat prototype and it would be interesting to compare the two.
purk Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Wow...wish I can attend the Southern Cal meet. Andy, enjoy the meet for me.
909 Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 Only about a week until the LAX Can Meet on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Interested in attending the event and yet to acquire advance admission? Here’s a very important cutoff date to remember, Thursday, October 16, 2008 is the last day to purchase advance admission at the special rate –- e-tickets: $15 per person; and MOT e-table fee: $89 per vendor. After this date, admission can only be acquired at the event at a small premium -- tickets: $20 per person; and MOT table fee: $100 per vendor. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via PM.
grawk Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 You mean I could have charged Justin more?
909 Posted October 10, 2008 Author Report Posted October 10, 2008 some cool news! EMI/Capital is likely to offer door prizes to a few random and lucky e-ticket-holders.
deepak Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 some cool news! EMI/Capital is likely to offer door prizes to a few random and lucky e-ticket-holders. Beatles remasters? Probably only funny on the SH forums
zippy2001 Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 Beatles remasters? Probably only funny on the SH forums you'll have to wait until next June for those ;-) Or you can buy the LFF remasters

Asr Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 Geez, is there going to be enough space for all these people and their crazy headphone gear?
909 Posted October 12, 2008 Author Report Posted October 12, 2008 yes and yes... more specifically, smyth has a private room for their speaker/headphone demo and the general meet has two rooms totaling about 1700 square feet with over 120 feet of table space.
Augsburger Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 yes and yes... more specifically, smyth has a private room for their speaker/headphone demo and the general meet has two rooms totaling about 1700 square feet with over 120 feet of table space. \ OK, that covers Frank Cooter's gear but what about the rest of us?
Augsburger Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 I can tell you that so far Luxman P-1 is sounding pretty impressive, very impressive. Granted it is fed by the Capitole MKII playing a LFF remaster but I am kind of floored by the music I am experiencing. I will post more details when I have a free moment but I think I should leave the bulk of the impressions for the attendees of the So Cal meet.
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 \ OK, that covers Frank Cooter's gear but what about the rest of us? Do we really need anything else?
n_maher Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Do we really need anything else? Seriously, between he and AMB the left coast is absurd.
909 Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is the last day to purchase e-tickets for the upcoming So Cal meet at the LAX Hilton. Purchasing tickets before October 16, 2008 at 11:59 PM locks in the $15 per person admission and the EMI/Capital door prizes. Thereafter, admission tickets will be available at the venue for $20 per person. There are two advance payment options: pm me your email address and I will send an eticket for you to purchase; or send payment to my PayPal account - address provided via pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me...
