Asr Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Aw nuts, I'm not so sure I'll be making it out for this one. Just looked at flights and the only airline not charging for 1 checked bag (Frontier), which I would probably need, doesn't have enough flight time options. I hate the other airlines for charging $15 for 1 checked bag... Quote
Augsburger Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 it's far enough in the future that it's something of a possibility. anyone have suggestions on getting cheap airfare? ,,,,,,,,,,,, Quote

grawk Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 I think they should charge for carry ons and let you check bags for free. Quote
Asr Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 That would stop you from traveling? Well not really, it is only $15, but the idea of paying $15 for 1 checked bag gets under my skin and I don't want to support The Man. This is airway robbery!!! And technically these airlines are charging $15 for each way so that's $30 for a round-trip which just plain sucks! It's one bag! $30 to take one bag for a round-trip flight! Quote
grawk Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Look at it as a $15 discount for not checking bags then. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 I think they should charge for carry ons and let you check bags for free. Now there's a platform I can get behind. Quote

I always paid around $600 round trip flying into LAX in the peak seasons edit: never mind I don't think those prices include gas tax, airport tax and whatever other shit they hit you with. 909 Posted August 28, 2008 Author Report Posted August 28, 2008 alrighty then mr. wkrp! this morning the few cincinnati fares were about $150 more, but now i suspect it has doubled. Quote
Edwood Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 yeah, i've never figured out why Cinci fairs are so fucking expensive. it's some dumb shit. It's because Cincinnati is Delta Hub. Quote
Edwood Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 That's because Atlanta sucks more than Cincinnati. Which is quite an accomplishment. Quote
