tokenganjaclan
Hi all, I'm wanting to try building a cost effective ss amp but with opamps I can change out. Something with a small footprint. Is there any sort of Diy in the range of say $200?? THX
grawk
a mint taped to 3 $50 bills?
tokenganjaclan
a mint taped to 3 $50 bills? C'mon there's gotta be more then just a mint? No? I like the sound of Lt1364. I've swapped them into my amps but would like to try a build with the same sound sig. I was looking at the mini^ but that's a portable. Fungi
A META? I don't even know if it's $200 or socketed, but it seems like it would be.
n_maher
Doesn't have dip opamps. For that matter neither does the MINT.
thrice
Well, if you can get ahold of BUF634s then you could try a PIMETA. But I think the BUF634 buffer is out of stock everywhere right now. There are replacements but I've never heard them. You could build an M3 for about $200-$250 if you price it out right. Of course I don't know if the footprint is small enough, but that might be your best option.
Pars
I'd second the Pimeta. The discrete buffers (mono rev. Sijosae) kick the BUF634s to the curb IMO. You will need to etch your own boards for those. Alternately there are some LMH something or other buffers and others (do a search on HF). If you can swing the M3 then that would also be a good choice, though I've never personally heard one.
tokenganjaclan
Thx for all the info Guys. I was looking at AMB and they have quite a lot of Diy Amps. I guess it doesn't have to be dip. I'm just not familiar with those chips. I guess it's more for a fun thing to make anyway and if I don't like the sound I can give it away to someone. DigiPete
AMB has the essential parts, but the rest is up to you Digikey or Mouser or other places.

Filburt
I like the sound of Lt1364. Andrea?.... Anyway, you can just build a PIMETA with the LMH6321, which is a better buffer than the BUF634 anyway. Just observe the differences in pin-out appropriately.
