I have an SDS-XLR you can evaluate. just pay for shipping and insurance both ways, along with whatever other fees there might be. :)

Heh, how much would THAT be? :)

You wouldn't mind if I forgot to ship it back would you?

that might be a problem... but you can keep it for a month or two. no forgetting to mail it back though.

how much does it cost to send something around 150 to 200 pounds to out in the boonies from california?

Don't forget, you have to pass a physical exam before receiving the amp, to be sure that it's safe to try lifting it ;)

I always forget to do that. it's especially true if you are referring to the crates they ship in. despite Mikhail putting handles on it for easier handling, they didn't work too well for me. fairly thin rope without enough slack is quite useless when lifting a 80 pound box, especially if it's right next to the edges of the crate where your hands can gouge into. :P

I dont know if I can trust this Mikhail guy... sounds like he cant even pack a crate right... what could he possibly know about amps in that case.

he packed it well, he's just a poor crate builder.

Such as Alaska?

he has that part covered quite well doesn't he? I'm too lazy to want to pack the SDS-XLR back into the crates and haul them to some shipping company, so it won't be happening either way.
