What a strip tease this is! Excellent work, my friend, even if it is for the lawyer from the wrong coast.

Marc, yours look great as well. The push button seems particularly cool.

Heh, he's the lawyer that asks so...

This is the last public image until more work gets done.

very cool. Though the next panels you'll see on a project of mine will be wood :) Material is headed down to Dr. Wood himself, from a purveyor of fine instrument woods in the northwest. Just have to keep him from "spilling" that pink dye all over the material....

Very nice Nate, elegant, austere and neat. Would you make a balanced one of those for me? ;)

Sorry, no can do - I've got too many projects and too little time as it is.

Thanks for the kind words though.

I was expecting that reply, as a matter of fact, almost wishing it hehe. Not that I really need another SS headphone amp, but you know, curiosity for sound and such nice looks :palm: I call dibs for that one were you selling it, I suppose it wouldn't cause much hassle making it to work at 230V ;D

tyrion will ultimately sell that beauty because he just cannot help himself. :palm: Call dibs with him.

I think I've already called reverse dibs on it. And it's actually not at all easy to convert to 230V, it uses a single primary trafo that I had custom built by SumR in Canada (fully shielded and potted). So some major surgery would be required along with a new trafo. This thing is going to be pretty much US voltage spec only but should be completely devoid of the hum issues that other single chassis betas have had.

Geez, I've really managed to crap the heck out of this thread. :palm:

I'm going to need you to build some amps on Saturday...

Mine was very easy to change which goes to show that Nate could build one for you...

Shhhuush you!

It really just depends on the transformer. All the Avel trafos I've come across could be used in 230V countries, I just didn't use one for this beta.

hey, have you ever considered trying a First Watt F3 with your Gallos? I know you may be headed down another path, but I think it would be worth trying... Here's a F3+Gallo review..

I was going to call the Lily The Beta22 but that just seemed weird.

Yeah, a little RSAish, although I completely understand the desire.

Sweet aesthetic!

I like the looks of that jack on there, and the lettering is quite good as well. But of course, it would have been Lily B22 "The Beta" for the full effect.
