nikongod Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) One of my photo buddies passed away last year on October 23, and I miss him greatly. I really liked how he could look at just about any photo, accurately guess what the photographer was going for (not always easy for me...) and offer something constructive to improve it or just say its awesome. Check out his Flickr Stream here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bobjagendorf/ Anyways, I was out shooting this weekend and I thought he would have liked this.... Masts by Lord Nikon 12, on Flickr Edited: Does anyone know of a GoPro mount that goes DIRECTLY from the gopro waterproof case to an Arca-swiss style plate? I found a few that use the quick-release GoPro foot, but fuck that. Edited September 29, 2014 by nikongod
dsavitsk Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Why don't people who shoot vertical video kill themselves? Or at least learn to shoot properly. Either way is fine, but one of them should be implemented across the board. Pffft. I have an old half frame that shoots vertical. Awesome camera. 1
MexicanDragon Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Heh. Was talking video. People hold their phones in portrait mode. So painful. **BRENT**
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 Finished converting my Nikon rig to all primes (14-24 excepted) just in time for a Colorado trip with the addition of thr Sigma 35/1.4. Very excited with what this lens looks capable of, and will update with pics in the coming week. 1
crappyjones123 Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) National WW2 Museum, New Orleans. Shot with a Nikon F5 and some black and white film. Processed and scanned in my bathroom Edited October 2, 2014 by crappyjones123
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 A couple of favorites from my trip so far, first from Utah, then Colorado: 1
crappyjones123 Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Very nice Peter. Is the last one shot with the 14-24? Finally got around to scanning the rest of the film from New Orleans. http://anuragkatyal.blogspot.com/2014/10/nawlins-fun-in-french-quarter.html
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 No, the last one is from the longest lens in my bag at the moment, the Sigma 150 macro Have more to post, and tons more to process, took about 1100 shots in a week. And then there will be the return trip to California!
Augsburger Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Peter, have time for lunch if you make it down to the hood?
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Definitely, Greg, I'll let you know when I'm back in town.
guzziguy Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Please let me know and I'll head south.
Dreadhead Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Not sure if anyone in LA is in need of a camera and has a working but old DSLR around: http://www.engadget.com/2014/10/14/samsung-dslr-ditch-day-los-angeles/

MexicanDragon Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 My daughter (almost 12) is on the yearbook staff at her magnet school. Her grade went on a field trip to the Atlanta Aquarium, and she was one of four people allowed to take a camera. I set her up with my Canon SL1 with a 28-105 F/3.5-4.5 and a few tips on shooting. This was only her second time shooting a dSLR. She got a lot of pix of her classmates, but this pic I fell in love with. **BRENT** 12
johnwmclean Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 (almost 12) Go on rub it in . Seriously though that’s a brilliant image. 1
