The Monkey Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 I'm on vacation, and rented the 70-200 2.8 along with the 1.7 TC. I look forward to messing up several great photo ops.
Salt Peanuts Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) Just saw someone at a zoo taking photos with an iPad. Edited August 19, 2012 by Salt Peanuts
Augsburger Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 So the camera on the iPad is solely for skyping and drunk posting? I need to change my ways.
mikeymad Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Went to a Family Reunion last Month and there were a couple of them.. We would get together for group photos and you would see... some cameras and then ipad heads Say Cheese....
Grahame Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) ^ They're Everywhere ... Final Word Do you ever use your iPad to take sleazy photos of yourself in the bathroom like this chick? Do you know what you look like? Sexy? No. Let my man Sam show you Edited August 19, 2012 by Grahame
nikongod Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 I recently got a GRD-4, and like it a bit, despite its somewhat limited ISO range (fuckers) GREEN (please view large) by Lord Nikon 12, on Flickr
agile_one Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Nice fern, Ari. Ricoh has been under the radar for years with some really capable and innovative small cameras. Glad you like.
Jon L Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Fuji X-E1 Confirmed. If it's significantly cheaper than X-Pro 1, many would be interested.. http://photorumors.com/2012/08/24/this-new-fuji-x-e1-mirrorless-camera-will-not-have-a-viewfinder/ Fuji-X-E1-silver by drjlo1, on Flickr Fuji-X-E1-Black by drjlo1, on Flickr
n_maher Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 My brother works for Fuji so once X-E1 is actually avaiable I'm going find out what the employee price is with the kit lens.
Edwood Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Excellent option for those that prefer an EVF over an OVF. Looks to be the same OLED EVF used in the Sony NEX-7. I really do love the X-Pro1's Hybrid OVF, though. And the Rear LCD is quite the downgrade from the X-Pro 1's excellent LCD. But those cost savings have to come from somewhere. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming XF 14mm f/2.8 lens. But the $900 price is major butthurts.

Jon L Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 My brother works for Fuji so once X-E1 is actually avaiable I'm going find out what the employee price is with the kit lens. Envy Though I would prefer the Fuji XF 35mm f/1.4.
Cankin Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 The EVF of X-E1 has even higher contrast ratio than the one on NEX 7. According to rumors this new EVF will be on NEX 6 and A99 too.
n_maher Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Envy Though I would prefer the Fuji XF 35mm f/1.4. In the event that I decide that I don't need/want one I'd be happy to serve as intermediary and see if I can get you a body or combo at employee pricing.
falkon Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 The 2nd half of the vid is the new firmware for x-pro1. You can expect the same AF speed in the x-e1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca0YWDgE9wA

Very nice of you. We shall see what happens. In the mean time, my Lumodi 14" beauty dish just came, which I intend to use as my portable BD on camera bracket or tripod. It's surprisingly LIGHT (good) but quite flimsy/plasticky (bad). SAM_0081A by drjlo1, on Flickr IMG_20120907_155902 by drjlo1, on Flickr
