Nenso Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Fungi!! Anyone know what's so new about this? SE-200PCI LTD All I know is that it is similar to the SE-200PCI and it is limited edition.
mirumu Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 I wonder how it'll compare with the ASUS Xonar HDAV1.3. Socketting the opamps is a nice touch. AnandTech: Computex 2008 - ASUS Brings Joy to Our Ears
Nenso Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 that asus soundcard seems very suspicious.. hmm I don't really trust these "overclock" "computer hardware" etc.. reviewers >_<
Knuckledragger Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Analog audio signals should never be inside a computer case. KTHX.
Beefy Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 All I know is that it is similar to the SE-200PCI and it is limited edition. Amongst all the stuff I am unable to read, there is a photo of a WM8740 DAC and Oscon caps...... so at the very least, it has some potential. that asus soundcard seems very suspicious.. hmm I don't really trust these "overclock" "computer hardware" etc.. reviewers >_< Anandtech are the exception that proves the rule. Very good computer hardware site, and their gadget/audio/camera sections are constantly improving.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Well, just based on the pictures, it's got that copper box which is probably acting as a mini Farraday cage. So...extra shiny.

They're one of the few places I actually do have some trust in. Of course the idea with that Asus card is that you should really be using HDMI for output rather than the analog sections.
