tyrion Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Picked the Energizer. Thanks for the heads up.
The Monkey Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Klipsch Image X10 IEM for $89 on Amazon http://www.amazon.co...S38VKYFEP7G0X82 A few other good headphone deals http://www.amazon.co...rd_i=5550342011 Thanks, Larry. I was waiting for them to drop. Got them for $84.99. Pretty sure they're going to be discontinued soon (but I have no actual news about that). Anyway, good score.
tyrion Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 I like the X10, was thinking of picking them up to use when my JH 13's are being repaired (not at the moment but only a matter of time).
Nebby Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Kurt Kinetic Road Machine trainer for $271.20 at Amazon I'm tempted... 1

tyrion Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Kurt Kinetic Road Machine trainer for $271.20 at Amazon I'm tempted... I had one. It's a good trainer but after about 10 times I decided that riding a trainer sucks. Not a bad price. I picked mine up for $225 on Chainlove a while back.
n_maher Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Was in a meeting, missed the Energizer, bummer.
blessingx Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 In-Ear Headphone Case for $1 http://dealmac.com/iphone/deals/640424.html
Dusty Chalk Posted November 26, 2012 Author Report Posted November 26, 2012 A few other good headphone deals http://www.amazon.co...rd_i=5550342011I forget, are the LP2's a significant improvement on the LP's? I'm not sure which pair I heard at the Apple store, but I remember liking them considering they were "major retail".
recstar24 Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Whoa klipsch x10 for 80ish? How are those btw? Sorry I'm late to the party.
The Monkey Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Whoa klipsch x10 for 80ish? How are those btw? Sorry I'm late to the party. I'm a big fan. One of the most comfortable 'phones I've ever used. And the sound is very good and smooth for what I believe is a single driver. And they are tiny.
swt61 Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 I happen to like them quite a lot. I think they were in the upper $200.00's when I got mine. Maybe $270ish. At sub $100 they are a steal.
recstar24 Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Easy to insert? Comfy while in? (No sexual innuendo implied)
Torpedo Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 yes, very easy to insert. I've fallen slept several times wearing them. And sound sweet and engaging, fun when required, lovely voices, pretty good bass... Even at 150 I'd say they're a steal.
tyrion Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 I have an extra Canon S100 from the $229 deal. I thought I could use it as a gift but I don't. MIT anyone wants it, let me know. Otherwise, I will return.
HeadphoneAddict Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 I forget, are the LP2's a significant improvement on the LP's? I'm not sure which pair I heard at the Apple store, but I remember liking them considering they were "major retail". I hate to say that I can't remember what the Crossfade LP sounded like. I was more focused on the Crossfade M-100 which I bought, and the M-80 which I picked up dirt cheap at RMAF for my son. I like their headphones though as a fun sound to play with (more fun and portable than SRH-840). And the V-MODA Vibrato IEM are their best effort at IEM so far, although kinda like a Monster Turbine Pro but better. Whoa klipsch x10 for 80ish? How are those btw? Sorry I'm late to the party. I preferred the X10 over the Triple.fi 10 pro, with a warm punchy sound and smooth mids and highs, although with a slight bleed of the mid-bass into the lower mids. Probably the closest IEM in terms of sound signature to the V-MODA M-100 full size phones, although I think the X10 might appeal more to an audiophile. My first pair of X10 cost me $249 but sold them a few years back, although I thought they were worth the high price. For the same price I was finding my Westone 2 to have a crisper more spacious high end, but with less fun and warmth in the bass. The X10 have been $149 at Amazon for a few months now, which is a good price. At $84.99 they are a no-brainer - I need a pair like a hole in the head but pulled the trigger anyway.
HeadphoneAddict Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Fuck!!!! I don't need more headphones... I don't need more headphones... And I did put these in my shopping cart and used the code to confirm it really did drop the price by $350. I didn't buy them though. I loved them on my Woo GES, but I'm not sure they're better than my LNS and SR-Lambda.
VPI Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 I haven't bought headphones in a long time but I might have to try those out.
aardvark baguette Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 i didnt know Koss still made anything more than $50. Wasn't it all discontinued? And didnt someone from the company pull some sort of Madoff maneuver?
Dreadhead Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Their CFO stole a ton of money but it turns out that they had plenty of financial strength as it was more stealing money than fixing books so the profits reported where after stealing etc...
Knuckledragger Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 THQ is in a lot of financial trouble, so they've been running all sorts of promotions. Right now they've teamed up with HIB for the Humble THQ Bundle. Pay what you want for a bunch of recent-ish AAA games that all require Steam and are Windows-only. Soundtracks included. NB: This is also a test to see if I can post. Dusty is right, this white theme is BLINDING.
