blessingx Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Seems something some here may use... The iTunes App Store offers downloads of MountainBike Pro for iPhone / iPod touch for free. That's a $6 drop and the best price we could find for this app, which offers maps, weather and wind conditions, calorie and distance tracking, and more. http://j.mp/L7DGK3
grawk Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 chronoshark has a seiko 5, this one's in a large diver's case with a metal bracelet. 41.5mm case. for $99
Tari Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts $3.99 Amazon MP3 with voucher from local.amazon.com Amazon MP3's are 256 Kbps VBR last I checked.
HeadphoneAddict Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts $3.99 Amazon MP3 with voucher from local.amazon.com Amazon MP3's are 256 Kbps VBR last I checked. Thanks, I missed seeing that album. Couldn't find the voucher, but I got a $10 Amazon gift card for $5 from local.amazon.com and then used that toward the CD instead.
Tari Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 It may not show up as the "main deal" - it could be in the "nearby deals" section you scroll through on the bottom of the page.
HeadphoneAddict Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 It may not show up as the "main deal" - it could be in the "nearby deals" section you scroll through on the bottom of the page. Thanks for the help, but it wasn't in any of the 6 nearby deals at the bottom when I first checked, and still not there. If I change cities the deals change, but the voucher isn't one of them.
Tari Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 The reason Amazon Local is split up into local regions is because most offers are for services/goods located locally. Not much point in me having a discounted massage that would take 6 hours to drive to (unless it's a really good massage.) When an "Amazon Living Services" deal comes up (usually BMVD on amazon.com) it is usually universal but sometimes targeted. When this happens, you can search for a location that has it and purchase it (in other words, your living in Colorado or wherever doesn't prevent you from buying a deal in Wisconsin.) If you select Illinois-->Chicago - North Suburbs it will be on the bottom.

n_maher Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I really need to look into the re-fi thing again.
bozebuttons Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I really need to look into the re-fi thing again. Just do it no better time then now..
aardvark baguette Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I thought the same thing when I bought at 4.85%. I wonder if I should wait a bit longer or go for it.
grawk Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 payback from 4.85 to 3.75ish is probably quite a while, unless you can get a no cost deal
Dreadhead Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 payback from 4.85 to 3.75ish is probably quite a while, unless you can get a no cost deal Yup most of the time the payoff time is longer than you think with all the fees (which of course the bank is more than happy to take).
grawk Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I've surprised loan officers several times when they would offer a refi that would save me 2%, but where the fees were so high it was a 10 year payoff. I guess most people fall for that.
justin Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 obivously depends on the fees but if it's like a typical house closing and 1 point then you could expect pay off within 2 years
Dreadhead Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 obivously depends on the fees but if it's like a typical house closing and 1 point then you could expect pay off within 2 years That's typical? Fees with no points on my loans had 3 year payoffs both times and I still took it. Even on the lake house the fees were a couple $k.
The Monkey Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 First of all, fuck points on a refi. Then fold those closing costs into the new loan. Of course it all just depends if the numbers work but I am fundamentally opposed to giving these asshole banks any points in this environment.
grawk Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 yah, I finally agreed to a refi when they came back with no points, no fees.
morphsci Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Yep we just finished our refi and folded the (minimal) fees into the loan. Knocked 8 years off the mortgage, lowered the monthly cost by about $100 and saved us a metric shitload in interest. We will now own the house before I retire start my second career.
naamanf Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Just refied both my houses. No points and no cost refi saving about $500 between the two. Plan on rolling that right back into the principal. Should shave off some serious time on the loan.
Augsburger Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I am surprised you guys aren't rolling the savings into Facebook stock.
grawk Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 facebook stock being the worst investment since Bernie Madoff?
