postjack Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 I'm shocked. He is my absolute favorite newsman.

postjack Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 yeah I just heard this as well, heart attack they are saying? that's the word. I am deeply saddened, I expected to grow at least into middle age watching him grill politicians on Meet The Press.
CD44hi Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 just came back from a meeting, checked CNN and was shocked to learn this as well...
aardvark baguette Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 He was my favorite. Regardless of his own political opinions, he dished out the real questions to everyone. Nobody got a free pass, just the way it should be.
riceboy Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 He was my favorite. Regardless of his own political opinions, he dished out the real questions to everyone. Nobody got a free pass, just the way it should be. Yes, that is why I enjoyed watching him. Very sad for sure
guzziguy Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 He was my favorite. Regardless of his own political opinions, he dished out the real questions to everyone. Nobody got a free pass, just the way it should be. My name is guzziguy and I approve of this message! Really sorry to hear this. He's one of the few political journalists that I respect.
Knuckledragger Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 In spite of the fact that I tended to shout "Ahh, Timmeh!" at the television when I saw him, I was greatly shocked and saddened when I found out about Russert's passing this afternoon. My heart goes out to his wife and children, who were still in Italy when he died. I'm afraid his shoes will not be easily filled.
postjack Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 There is pretty much no one I can think of with the brains, heart, and work ethic necessary to do "Meet The Press" justice. I'm afraid whoever they choose might just piss me off. Maybe Juan Williams, but I'm afraid he's too young.
Thelonious Monk Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 It's always the good ones that have to die. ...Also, that's a lot of death metal, postjack. Got any Autopsy or Demilich or Necrophobic?
