yeah I just heard this as well, heart attack they are saying?

that's the word. I am deeply saddened, I expected to grow at least into middle age watching him grill politicians on Meet The Press.

He was my favorite. Regardless of his own political opinions, he dished out the real questions to everyone. Nobody got a free pass, just the way it should be.

Yes, that is why I enjoyed watching him. Very sad for sure

My name is guzziguy and I approve of this message! ;)

Really sorry to hear this. He's one of the few political journalists that I respect.

In spite of the fact that I tended to shout "Ahh, Timmeh!" at the television when I saw him, I was greatly shocked and saddened when I found out about Russert's passing this afternoon. My heart goes out to his wife and children, who were still in Italy when he died. I'm afraid his shoes will not be easily filled. :(

There is pretty much no one I can think of with the brains, heart, and work ethic necessary to do "Meet The Press" justice. I'm afraid whoever they choose might just piss me off.

Maybe Juan Williams, but I'm afraid he's too young.
