thrice
Huh, I was able to get the new Aimee Mann at Best Buy this weekend. I guess they're not as strict about that sort of thing with some artists.
postjack
I predict with 100% confidence that the new weezer album will be just awful.

Dusty Chalk
Huh, I was able to get the new Aimee Mann at Best Buy this weekend. I guess they're not as strict about that sort of thing with some artists. Two possible explanations are that the album's release date got bumped up, or that someone at that Best Buy screwed up. But it would be a screw-up, not a 'they're not as strict...', because they get fined (by the record companies, not the cops) if they release something too early. postjack
I ....I dont even know what to say... If you cast off your emotional attachments to the first two albums, you'll realize that everything post-Pinkerton is garbage.
aardvark baguette
I actually never picked up the green album. Maybe I shouldnt
ojnihs
If you cast off your emotional attachments to the first two albums, you'll realize that everything post-Pinkerton is garbage. agreed, went downhill after pinkerton, which i think is the best weezer album
aardvark baguette
I really love the guitar tone in the blue album. Sometimes I still marvel that such a tone was played on pop radio. Especially In The Garage. Garbage is the only other band from that era to get that kind of guitar tone on the air.
Voltron
Aimee Mann album was released last week and it is good. Better than the Forgotten Arm.
Icarium
What's by her that's actually better than Lost in Space. I've gotten her two MFSL albums and Lost in Space is just amazing. I haven't heard anything else by her though, so if there's anything >> Lost in Space, I will snatch that noise up in a hurry.
jinp6301
She has MFSL albums?!?!?!?!?!??! MUST GET NOW!!! and I like Bachelor No.2 better then Lost in Space but I'm a Jon Brion fanboy
Icarium
Bachelor No. 2 which is also available in MFSL (Both sound excellent) is decent, but I dunno the whole feel of Lost in Space and the Lost in Space track itself (Amongst others) is just awesome for me. Dusty Chalk
...the whole feel of Lost in Space and the Lost in Space track itself (Amongst others) is just awesome for me...I actually prefer Bachelor No. 2...but not by a wide margin, I really need to pick up two of the versions of Lost in Space, the one with the bonus tracks, and the SACD. Which version do you have? I'm also really excited about the new Spiritualized. These last couple albums have been great, despite being a complete change in direction from the earlier albums, which I dig for entirely different reasons. Icarium
I don't follow her too closely so I don't know if I have the version with the bonus track or not. I just have the SACD version I think.
