Salt Peanuts Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Just finished packing my car for going down to my in-laws for the holiday. I'm perpetually amazed by how much my Fit can actually hold.

Absorbine_Sr Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Helped Debbie season the pumpkin soup we made to take to her sister and bro-in-laws for turkey day. Plenty of good beer will be available later today and I am looking forward to a good day with great people.
MASantos Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Great news Shelly! Happy Turkey day to everybody!! I learned a lesson today: when talking to a pilot, do not confuse a tire burst with a fire burst! nothing happened in the end, just a big apparatus with all the firetrucks! Better safe than sorry though
tyrion Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Shelly, glad your mom was able to be home for Thanksgiving. Pecan pies are done:
Hopstretch Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 The wife got home from the Zambian copper belt tonight and bought me back a few of these. Don't try hyperinflation at home, kids!
Craig Sawyers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 The wife got home from the Zambian copper belt tonight and bought me back a few of these. Don't try hyperinflation at home, kids! Wow! That is damned impressive, Stretch! How much is that worth in real money?
Voltron Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Pie looks perfect Mike! Does that bill get you a cup of coffee or do you need a cuple for that, Stretch? I am currently giving thanks during my first time listening to the Pete Millett Unnecessarily Complex 300B Amp. I have it hooked up to the Moth DAC, fed by the EMM Labs CDSD SE as transport, through the little Goldpoimt passive pre I bought from Stretch ages ago, and then out of the PMUC3A into the Cicadas. After warming it up and getting the mercury vapor dancing, I can safely say I have not heard the Cicadas sound better. They sound fuller or more balanced than with the Moth 300B Paradigm, which is no small feat. So happy that I snagged this beast. Next up, K1000. Pics to follow because I have no way to get them from my camera to the computer right now.
Hopstretch Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 That sounds alright, Al. West Coast! West Coast!
guzziguy Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) I'll bet it's literally not worth the paper it's printed on. Edit: According to coinmill.com, 1 USD == 12,625,549,717.8 ZWD so 100000000000 ZWD == 7.92 USD So I'm wrong, it is worth the paper it's printed on, barely. Edited November 25, 2010 by guzziguy
Craig Sawyers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I'll bet it's literally not worth the paper it's printed on. Just been reading about this. Inflation is 230 million percent. Once it got to banknotes of trillions, they took 27 zeros off. Then later they took another 12 zeros off. Currently around 400 zimbabwean dollars per US dollar. For the next few minutes anyway.
guzziguy Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 coinmill.com says that they use current exchange rates. With an inflation rate like that, you don't want to sneeze while selling ZWD as it will cost money.
boomana Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Good news about your mom, Shelly. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
