Contrastique Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 That I can't imagine. It's just not going to be a proper bruin cafe anymore without the nicotine decor! It's really true. They enforced the rule past July the 1st. I had mixed feelings at first, certainly when thinking bar but now I'm glad.
laxx Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 It's been like that in NYC for awhile. I love it.
Hopstretch Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Semi-relevant, albeit functionally useless. Quitter
JBLoudG20 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 I got up a half hour too early. I exercised for extra long. Rode to work, did mroe research on the R Project for school. I am eating lunch now, and in about 2 hours, leaving work to go to class.
JBLoudG20 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Interesting thing from yesterday, however. At work, my ex girlfriend (the one we had a discussion about in the slow thread) IM'ed me. She said she was working and bored, so wanted me to go visit. WTF? So I figure what the hell, I go. She proceeds to apologize for being a bitch back in the day. I was agast. Now we are talking (as friends) again.
guzziguy Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Smoking in restaurants/bars is outlawed in CT too. One of the best things Rowland did while he was here. It's really true. They enforced the rule past July the 1st. I had mixed feelings at first, certainly when thinking bar but now I'm glad. It's been like that in NYC for awhile. I love it. They did this in California a few years ago via the proposition mechanism. The bar owners fought against the proposition like hell. They were afraid that their business would die without the smokers. It got passed anyway. Lo and behold, the bars' business doubled. It seems that the smoke was keeping non-smokers away from bars. Duh. Interesting thing from yesterday, however. n_maher Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Run for your life as fast as you can. Now, before it's too late. X2 Rekindling "friendships" with x-girlfriends is a slippery slope.
JBLoudG20 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 X2 Rekindling "friendships" with x-girlfriends is a slippery slope. Makes life interesting I'll backout if anyhting goes awry.
guzziguy Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 The slide has already started. We need a "playing taps" emoticon.
n_maher Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 The slide has already started. We need a "playing taps" emoticon. Best I could do on short notice.

Duh. They should ban drinking and bring all the non-drinkers in too. Goldmine!
JBLoudG20 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 In my situation, we were friends to start. We took it to a place it shouldn't have been. Now we are both taken, so hopefully there wont be an issue.
