swt61 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 I experienced my first military funeral when my own Father died five years back. It is indeed an emotional experience. Sorry for your loss.
manaox2 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 First military funeral was for my grandfather myself. Sorry for your loss.
guzziguy Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Sorry for your loss, Greg. Were the 3 small objects shell casings from the 21-gun salute? I have mine from my father's funeral. I'll toast your father tonight.
Absorbine_Sr Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Sorry for your loss and a toast to your father. Thanks to all who serve so that we remain free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Augsburger Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Sorry for your loss, Greg. Were the 3 small objects shell casings from the 21-gun salute? I have mine from my father's funeral. I'll toast your father tonight. Yep, and thanks all for the kind thoughts.
Tyll Hertsens Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Yep, and thanks all for the kind thoughts. Godspeed Augsberger Dad.
Aura Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Sorry to hear about that Greg, I was recently at a military service myself and it was a somber but unique experience.
n_maher Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 My condolences, Greg. Me: started re-teaching myself how to draft in 3D. Considering that I haven't done much of it in more than a decade it went surprisingly well.

Considering that I haven't done much of it in more than a decade it went surprisingly well. What program, Nate? Me: Rode my bike 120 miles today through Big Sky country. Helmet time ... I needed it.
The Monkey Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Me: Rewrote a major marketing piece from scratch--again. Because people can't write.
jp11801 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Greg my condolences for your loss crazy day at work followed by fun playing with the sonic 305 software setting up the monitor control panel, very cool user functions
n_maher Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 What program, Nate? AutoCAD 2009. The workflow is too entrenched in my brain from using it in 2D all day to do anything else. I tried Solid Works a couple of years ago and it didn't go very well. Me: Rode my bike 120 miles today through Big Sky country. Helmet time ... I needed it. I hope that means you needed the ride, not the helmet. In later day news I swung by a local machinist who is getting ready to retire. He offered to sell me some tools and such and I took him up on it. We only got part way through what I wanted/needed and I'll be making a return trip in a few weeks when he's had more time to find some stuff for me. The gem of today's haul was this: It's an 1/8 to 5/8 keyless chuck and should come in hand on the purchase I made earlier this week.
