Beefy Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 I'm rooting for the Aussies! I'll have you know, our Winter Olympics prowess is unmatched! Australia's first Winter Olympics gold came in 2002 courtesy of a guy called Steve Bradbury in the short track speed skating. He barely scraped through into the final, and was trailing the whole race until the last corner...... the first three places all tripped over each other, allowing him to sail to 'victory'.
Absorbine_Sr Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Above 40 degrees so got the car washed and put the top down for the drive to Three Floyds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Beefy Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 What a cracker of a game! As a complete novice to hockey, it seems that Miller did such a great job, but just couldn't hold the pressure from the Canadians for the whole match. I predict big celebrations in Nova Scotia, this being Crosby's home province
philodox Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Reinstalled and configured Arch Linux + KDE_Mod, watched Canada beat the US in hockey, got baked, ate chocolate.
GPH Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I watched the Canada-USA hockey game with my buddies, what a fucking epic game! Crosby's the man!
aardvark baguette Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Re-did/finished the first row. Still have to clean the grunge deposited from handling the nails and hit them with a punch to get them all the way in, unless I feel like denting each piece. Still glad I chose nails over their glue though. There is almost one entire 5ib bag of polyfill in this one row. Now that I look at it, I think I'll want at least 2 rows on each side of the ceiling.
Dreadhead Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 You're not married, are you? Do you even have to ask?
aardvark baguette Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I'm sure I'm quite a catch for the well adjusted female young adult pfffft bahhahaaa
grawk Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Drove to Philadelphia, watched Thomas score in the game that got his pee wee hockey team into the playoffs, and then went to a sports bar with the team to watch 60 minutes of great hockey followed by the greatest travesty in the history of hockey.

To what do you refer?
mrarroyo Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Drove back from the Head Fi Meet held yesterday in Fort Myers.
Hopstretch Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 To what do you refer? He clearly thinks Canada should have won by more.
grawk Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 To what do you refer? Crosby getting the gold medal winning goal, thus confirming his sai thood, even tho he was invisible all tournament.
Dreadhead Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Crosby getting the gold medal winning goal, thus confirming his sai thood, even tho he was invisible all tournament. I think you may be exaggerating a bit to call that the greatest travesty in the history of hockey but I see your point.
GPH Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Crosby getting the gold medal winning goal, thus confirming his sai thood, even tho he was invisible all tournament. Common, that's unfair. Sure, he wasn't the best Canadian player throughout the tournament (I'd give that to Getzlaf personally), but this guy always shows up in the important occasions and in the last game he was at the right place at the right time. The game could have swung both ways in overtime, and calling Crosby's goal the greatest travesty of all time is highly exaggerated.
Salt Peanuts Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Came back to work after taking the Friday off to deal with the flooding to find pages after pages of e-mails. I've gotten through about half of them so far and I don't think I want to open the rest. I can't wait to see what happens when I'm gone for couple of weeks in June.

Grawk suggested I take a dump on the stairs of Mellon Arena when I was in Pittsburgh, so I just think he really isn't a Penguins fan
grawk Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 I think anyone who watched NBC's coverage of tihs tournament will understand my sentiment...
GPH Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Admit it, you're jealous and you'd like him in your team. Oveshkin is alright, but...
n_maher Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Went to first doc appointment, just got xrayed, now headed back to doc to see if an mri is required. I'm hoping the news isn't awful since it's unikely there will be any good news today.
