Dusty Chalk Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 What a nice guy you are Colin. I went to my first Krav Maga course and it was awesome! I am now installing Windows 7 on my tablet pc. Let's see if it is any better than XP or Vista.
swt61 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Jeez Shelly, is all this Krav Maga stuff on my account, because of the last meet? I really was just trying to remove some lint.
shellylh Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Jeez Shelly, is all this Krav Maga stuff on my account, because of the last meet? I really was just trying to remove some lint. You know it! Ah, just kidding Steve, I don't need Krav Maga to kick your butt. :p:p:p

Dusty Chalk Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 What kind? Spring, foam, water, nails, other?
Guest sachu Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 reluctantly returned a 1000$ check back to my previous employer, had lunch with a good friend, went riding on an EX-500..thesis work left to round up a nice day.
Fitz Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 More fun with home repairs... spent a few hours with a jackhammer in the basement digging up an old cast iron drain pipe that was leaking and seeping up through the floor (it was milky white while washing out a paint tray, making it pretty damn obvious it wasn't rainwater). Well, maybe leaking isn't the best word; I'm sure there's a more appropriate term for when it's completely disintegrated into fragments only several square inches in size, like TOTALLY FUCKED. And of course the bad part didn't stay in the unfinished area or the room where the carpet was already pulled up, it had to go a couple feet into the main room where there's a tile floor. It got even more fun when I got to the part in the unfinished area where the plumbers supposedly fixed it a few months ago (replaced it with PVC from where it goes down into the foundation and about ten feet over). The iron pipe was still somewhat fragmented ALL THE WAY INTO THE GODDAMN RUBBER BOOT that couples it to the PVC. The cocksuckers apparently just went that distance they did, said fuck it, and covered it back up saying it was fixed. Oh, and I also had to unhook and move a few hundred pounds of test equipment, tools, parts, etc since part of this was right underneath/behind where my workbench is. AGHHHHKDGHJAHGQEJLHJLHJL!@#HT!#%(ERHWRJKJHH@$KJG@#$KL@GJ@#!#FJL!#!#!#G!#!#H!#H
The Monkey Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Simmons Beautyrest pillow top, king. A good mattress makes life better. I've despised the last few I've had.
swt61 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Damn Fitz! Sorry to hear that buddy. Wish I were there to lend a hand. Are you going back with ABS? You gonna do the work yourself?
Fitz Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Yeah thanks dude, I did have someone to help haul out the concrete chunks while I worked the jackhammer, but at least the hardest part is done now. I'm gonna just extend the PVC from where the plumbers originally "fixed" it to the point where the old pipe actually is still okay. I still need to take the sawzall to cut off the rest of the bad part so I can finish shovelling out the debris from the hole, then it's just a matter of putting the new pipe in, attaching it, and pouring gravel and concrete back into the hole.
luvdunhill Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 apparently got bought by HP: HP to Acquire 3Com for $2.7 Billion hmm...
jinp6301 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 went to the NYC Veterans Day parade to see my parents friend who was marching in the parade.
The Monkey Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 apparently got bought by HP: HP to Acquire 3Com for $2.7 Billion hmm... Ugh. Never fun to be the target. Good luck with the transition.
drp Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 ........We may have to completely uproot and go expat for a few years... I'll come house sit for you. I am of course referring to the pool house with the nicely stocked beer fridge. The news stinks; the neighborhood would not be the same without you.
Aimless1 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Laser surgery on my left eye. My eye pressure dropped 10 points immediately.
Torpedo Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Laser surgery on my left eye. My eye pressure dropped 10 points immediately. Great
Dusty Chalk Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) Awesome. So are you no longer "aimless", or is that more of a philosophical name? Edited November 12, 2009 by Dusty Chalk
Salt Peanuts Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Spent the morning doing some damage control. Now I'm trying to get through what I had originally planned to get through this morning.
Sherwood Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 So are you no longer "aimless" You make me smile
Dusty Chalk Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Sometimes. So far, nothing constructive: fed the cats, got an allergy shot, gas, some groceries, my woot robot from the post office (didn't know what it was, but it said "delivery confirmation", which I misunderstood as "signature required", so I thought it was important, otherwise I would've waited until the next time I went). Just got in to work.
en480c4 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Went home from work after an hour. Took two 2 1/2 hour naps with another hour nap thrown in for good measure. Still feel crummy, but Neko Case is playing tonight about a mile from my house, which doesn't happen. Ever. So I'll rally.
Aimless1 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 So are you no longer "aimless", or is that more of a philosophical name? I always found that spray and pray worked best. uh, that is what you were referring to, wasn't it?
Fitz Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Finished replacing the drainpipe in the basement. I'm so glad I'm not a plumber, that was some nasty shit right there.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 I always found that spray and pray worked best. uh, that is what you were referring to, wasn't it? Uh, no, TMI.
