Duggeh Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Stealthy DHL man left sneaky DHL "you were not in" note. And took my DAC away to Perth. I was in. Grr.
Nebby Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Did they at least ring the doorbell?
Duggeh Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 If they did, they didn't press the button properly.
jinp6301 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Stealthy DHL man left sneaky DHL "you were not in" note. And took my DAC away to Perth. I was in. Grr. Fucking USPS guy does that to me all the time too. Is it that they dont have the package or that theyre just really lazy? Theyre already walking to the door to put the note there, why dont they just bring the package with them?
cetoole Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I get that fairly often too, generally assume they have gotten used to no one being home. Dunno.
Hopstretch Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Let these two make friends for a while. Thanks so much for the help with the Pearl, Pete!
Dusty Chalk Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Nearly died -- on top of giving myself food poisoning (I think -- by eating way too old mustard on a samich), I inhaled a pill (rather than swallowing it -- I.E. I tried to ingest it through my lungs). 2 minutes of scary coughing in the middle of a parking lot, alone, it came up. Fortunately, the gel cap outer shell hadn't broken yet, because then I would have been inhaling powder, which would have been an order of magnitude more nasty. All is fine now, but throat is raw. I'm going to be coughing all day.
The Monkey Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Yikes! Glad to hear you're ok, Dusty. I'm home sick today with a stomach bug. Parent-teacher conference at nursery school last night followed by sickness...coincidence? I think not.
Hopstretch Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Parent-teacher conference at nursery school last night followed by sickness...coincidence? I think not. You didn't wear latex gloves? Rookie mistake! Dusty --
manaox2 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 You didn't wear latex gloves? Rookie mistake! Dusty -- I love it when single MILFs come to class wearing the gloves. Hubbies that come matching are a turn-off.

I'm going to be coughing all day. Well coughing all day sucks, but better than the alternative. Glad you're still with us! Yikes! Glad to hear you're ok, Dusty. I'm home sick today with a stomach bug. Parent-teacher conference at nursery school last night followed by sickness...coincidence? I think not. That would be the fastest gestating virus known to man. More likely a bad batch of Chef-Boy-Ardee.

Aimless1 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 First full day at work this week. Contracted some nasty virus that had me down since Sunday.
MexicanDragon Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Went to the dentist for the second day in a row. Had some teeth extracted. I feel less wise now. One of them was growing back to front instead of up. Anyone got some soft tacos or soup they wanna send my way? **BRENT**
The Monkey Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Anyone got some vicodin or percocet they wanna send my way? **BRENT** Made it moar better for you.
DigiPete Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Let these two make friends for a while. Thanks so much for the help with the Pearl, Pete! Glad it finally worked out....
Pars Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Very nice! Is that the TD160 you bought Stretch? Looks really nice. What arm is that again?
n_maher Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Worked. Then met Voltron, VPI, Stretch and Ian for dinner at a little Irish pub in Manchester, NH. By strange coincidence Al and Jeff were in town on the same day so a few of the locals (ish) rallied to show them a decent time. Just got home and have to say: a) Al knows how to travel even with TSA restrictions and damn, his JH13s would make JEM proud. They are truly, truly, truly outrageous.
Voltron Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Look, who doesn't need a little glitter in their life? It was very cool of Nate, Ian and Stretch to make the trek westward and meet Jeff and me in Manch. It was a good time even though we didn't listen to any gear or really talk about it much at all. Wait, maybe it was good because of that. Thanks again fellas!
The Monkey Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Let these two make friends for a while. Thanks so much for the help with the Pearl, Pete! You do understand that you will not be able to play the discs on the shelf above on that thing, right?
Sherwood Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 He can play them, but they will all sound the same.
MexicanDragon Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Made it moar better for you. It's good to have friends... BTW, I was out at FYE and saw a large lephrechaunesque hat. I thought immediately of my favorite prehensile-tailed audiophile... **BRENT**
Salt Peanuts Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Went to an off-site all-day training for work. The training was useful and I appreciated it. Got home and checked the work e-mail against my better judgement to find piles of e-mails basically telling me I have a rather long day tomorrow (and long coming week).
Dreadhead Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 I did the hour estimates for the 7 people in my group through the end of the year and found out that I have 560 hours of scheduled work for myself and there are only 520 hours to the end of the year. To add insult to injury that does not include my management load, like doing hour estimates and schedules. I think it's time to find a new job.
