boomana Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Adding to the speeding recovery wishes for mom!
morphsci Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Best wishes and here's to hoping your mom has a well stocked liquor cabinet.
shellylh Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 No luck on the liquor cabinet. My parents don't keep booze in the house.
Fitz Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Wishing your mom a quick and easy recovery, Shelly.
MASantos Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Best to your mum, hope she has a fast recovery!
Dusty Chalk Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 No luck on the liquor cabinet. My parents don't keep booze in the house. I've been without alcohol for several days now -- it won't kill you.
Grahame Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Best wishes to you and your mom, Shelly. Will Tampa make up for your enforced dry spell (and leave your mean, median and modal average's un-affected) ?
Wmcmanus Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Went to Customs and cleared my new TV today. First cost was about $4,200 for the TV and an extra pair of 3D glasses, plus another $600 for the Chief wall mount. If I lived in the US, that would be the end of the story, plus I would get to take advantage of up to $300 worth of free calibration and other post-sale services from Best Buy. Final cost was a little over $7k after paying to have it crated up and delivered to the dock in Tampa ($475), shipping and insurance to Cayman ($509), import duty at 22% ($1,055), port fees ($75), and delivery to my house ($150). Headphones are so much easier to smuggle in!
mrarroyo Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Best wishes Shelly. A co-worker gifted me with a circa 1976 Technics TU-7300 integrated amp and its matching ST-7300 tuner. Both in their original wooden boxes, now I have to get them running ...

Duggeh Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 You could smuggle a projector a lot more easily. But I don't know if home projectors can do this newfangled 3D thing yet.
