Landed a barnacle-encrusted traffic barricade and a car tire in the canoe. It was big game time. Then spent Sunday celebrating wife's Birthday. Now I need a couple days of to recover from my weekend.

Me: I stayed home to meet the electrician who finally fixed some of the "mysteries" in the switches around the house. I could have done it myself but it's better to know it's done right

morphsci Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 We are also looking at better efficiency water heaters. Right now it looks like we may be going with one of the Bosch on-demand gas heaters.

veloaudio Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 If we were looking to stay in our house for a while I would have gone with one of these: A. O. Smith Water Heaters I ended up installing a standard State (A.O. Smith rebranded) gas tank. ~82% efficiency. Cheaper than a tankless, about the same efficiency (maybe slightly lower) but we don't have a very high demand/throughput for hot water and would probably have not offset the cost savings in our current house.
