nikongod Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Sorry to hear about your car repair troubles Today I shoveled, a lot. Moved the power switch on The Silver Ghost from where the really neat looking neon pilot lamp is now to the front and installed the really neat looking neon pilot lamp. I also reterminated my HD800 with a 4-pin XLR.
Salt Peanuts Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I really like how the amp looks Ari. Along with your orange amp, you have two of my favorite amps from a visual stand point. I look forward to listening to the Silver Ghost at the Boston meet.
Dreadhead Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I shoveled a lot. Then I wasted a whole lot of time looking at folding bicycles I also became an uncle for the 3rd time Edit: Ari that amp looks sweet and I don't even like tubes.
Knuckledragger Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 The orange pilot lamp and power switch helps lend it a "mad scientist" feel. Nice work.
Hopstretch Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Lying awake right now at 2:45 am Cape Town local time thinking bad thoughts about jet lag. Also, the hotel wireless is wicked shitty. On the plus side, we found a great house to rent. And it's not snowing!
Dreadhead Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Glad you guys made it all in one piece. Good luck with all the moving
Grahame Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Yay, 'Stretch! Has the bodyguard made an appearance yet? Blink once for yes, twice for no
Beefy Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 And it's not snowing! Too far south for sand storms?
Voltron Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Glad you guys made it all in one piece. Good luck with all the moving I think Mr. Stretch is on a solo scouting mission right now with the family move later in the year. Enjoy your visit Stretch. Get back on HC once you acclimatize and get a decent signal. Your absence is noted and unappreciated.
n_maher Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Glad you made it ok Strech, when's the mini meet? I heard airfare is cheap.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Glad to hear from stretchman. Sorry about the jet lag, it sucks.
Salt Peanuts Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Too bad the beer is not good, Stretch. Envious of seafood, though.
grawk Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 It's easy to make pretty good beer. The other stuff is harder to pull off, so things should be good for you there. Eye candy is always good.
Salt Peanuts Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Trimmed stems of 600+ carnations in preparation for carnation drive at my school tomorrow. Got me out of doing paperwork and staring at my computer all day, but now my hands smell like carnation stems.
Salt Peanuts Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Yet another day of re-arranging things around the house. This time, ongoing re-arrangement of the den so we can turn it into a den/guest room combo while turning the current guest room into nursery. Half-way done, but inadvertently killed one of the speaker cables connecting my Epos.
Voltron Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) i didn't realize you were sick. That depends on what you mean by "sick." Yet another day of re-arranging things around the house. This time, ongoing re-arrangement of the den so we can turn it into a den/guest room combo while turning the current guest room into nursery. Half-way done, but inadvertently killed one of the speaker cables connecting my Epos. Oopsy. Bummer, but think of it as an Upgrade Opportunity! New speakers will be needed to resolve this problem, I'm sure the wife will understand. Edited February 12, 2010 by Voltron
Salt Peanuts Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Oopsy. Bummer, but think of it as an Upgrade Opportunity! New speakers will be needed to resolve this problem, I'm sure the wife will understand. Unfortunately (or fortunately), it was just a speaker cable and it'll be a simple fix. Though I've been wanting to get another pair of bookshelf so I can have a pair at work as well - should have jumped on Nate's bookshelf speakers. Oh well, the hindsight is 20/20.
The Monkey Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Celebrated Mrs. Monkey's last day at now former employer.
