spritzer Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Went to work, made a shit load of breads then had to deal with crazy cash registers that refused to work correctly. Went home and cleaned/waxed the car. Too tired to do anything but Christmas starts in less the 4 hours here so I'd better get cracking... Seriously, ROFLMAO @ Rick saying Birgir's never used a multimeter before. I quite liked that one. Truth be told I always set DC offset by touch, much better then any stupid "measurements". My gauge of physical pain must be as accurate my ears, right?
mrarroyo Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Went to work, attended a couple of meetings. Next "Noche Buena" Dinner with the family. (looked for an ear-speaker for my damaged K1000)
Salt Peanuts Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Started the first day of my vacation making a batch of orange marmalade canning it. Now taking a break and listening to some nice tunes.
Fitz Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Started to replace a broken motor mount on the car, saw it's some stupid huge metric size I don't have, gave up and came back inside where it's warm.
boomana Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Miguel, sorry to read about damaged K1000s. I'm working, wishing I were home.
MexicanDragon Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Noooooooo, not the JH13's of photo!! I am not listening to you. It's not a dSLR, but it DOES have interchangeable lenses, and Gene's was pretty pimp. Then again... Leica M9 Hands-on Preview: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review I mean... if you want JH13s, you get JH13s, not JH5s, right? **BRENT**
shellylh Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Had my first Christmas this morning (I am celebrating Christmas with my family today and then jumping on 6am flight tomorrow morning to Annapolis to spent Christmas evening with my partner and his family). We opened gifts and then I spent the rest of the morning putting together Zhu Zhu pets stuff and a Barbie Dream House for my niece. I need a nap.
morphsci Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 Just finished getting destroyed by a five-year old in Wii fencing.

n_maher Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Traveled 4.5hrs with a 18mo old who wanted no part of it. Not fun, but I'm finally home, Lily is a asleep and I shall shortly remedy the situation with a wee dram.
naamanf Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Traveled 4.5hrs with a 18mo old who wanted no part of it. Usually people go to jail for that sort of shenanigans.
n_maher Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Usually people go to jail for that sort of shenanigans. Trust me, jail would have been preferable.
The Monkey Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Mellow day with the (sane) in-laws. Brunch at our place, dinner at my mother-in-law's. We were at my dad's (huge, crazy) family gathering last night, so it's a good balance. Overall a very nice holiday. The Triple.fi 10 recipients (my wife, brother, and sis-in-law) were pretty psyched.
Salt Peanuts Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Managed to spill water and apple cider, on separate instances, onto my MacBook. No damage as far as I can tell at this point, but couple of the keys are bit sticky now.
Aimless1 Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Third straight day of Christmas ... today with my mother-in-law and my little clan yesterday with my sister's family, my mother and my family Thursday with my children and grand children Glad to see everyone and great holiday ... especially for the grand children. Watched my 5 yr old grandson kick his uncle's butt at wii fencing and destroy his father on the wii wake board ... and this was the first time he had touched either game. But just as the two year old was clearly on sensory overload, so too is his grandfather. Glad to have a few minutes with closed cans, music and my self this evening. Tomorrow we return my mother-in-law to her home about 75 miles away ... along the Lake Michigan shore which tonight has a winter storm warning. Hoping not to see white out conditions.
Duggeh Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Fucking awesome boxing day. Long lie. Walk in the crisp lessening cold. Had some homemade Gravilax. Ripped CDs I got for christmas. Listened to one (Vangelis). Had some family friends round for dinner. Swapped presents (got LP). Ate a great dinner. Drank some fine port. Brought them upstairs and played them some music. Soundlabs gawked at. Drank some more. Got locked out of house seeing friends to taxi. Managed back in without smashing window. Played match races, laughed at dad burning his finger quite badly. Retired to HC.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Drove around -- post office (Xmas presents, Oppo for the upgrade), shoe store, groceries. Was totally obliviously flirted with. Realized later. Tried to flirt with some other girls. Was dissed. Ack, one of these days, the twain shall meet.
mypasswordis Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Brought out the Superex PEP-74 for the first time in half a year. Yup, I have too many headphones.
shellylh Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Pretty mellow day with the in-laws. Slept in, returned gifts, and installed Ubuntu eee on my father-in-law's very slow Asus eee netbook (much faster than XP so far).
The Monkey Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Drove out to my parents' place in the Hamptons. Here for the week. Moar wine!!!
Augsburger Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Save the Kistler for your ULN-8 impressions thread.
Salt Peanuts Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Finished making racks of rib I prepped yesterday. They cooked well, but I need to tweak the glaze for the next time.
grawk Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Drove home from nc while listening to the canes beat the caps. At least there was whiskey waiting at home.
