The Monkey
Took the train back from East Hampton. Little Monkey's first substantial non-subterranean train ride. Got home. Watched Mark Sanchez lose to the Saints. Helped Mrs. Monkey pack for 4-day business trip to MasNoNoNoNoNoNosetts. When the cat's away, the mice fall into general disarray. Hopstretch
Helped Mrs. Monkey pack for 4-day business trip to MasNoNoNoNoNoNosetts. Scenic Framingham again? Hope she's at least taking the opportunity to eat at Sichuan Gourmet. I highly recommend the double-cooked bacon! Today I bickered with my own wife about stupid inconsequential stuff. Feel bad, though not bad enough to be the one to apologize.
manaox2
Mostly took apart my trucks engine. Sent it off to the repairman after reassembling to see if he can confirm leaking head gasket (fingers crossed that it just needs a new water pump). The Monkey
Scenic Framingham again? Hope she's at least taking the opportunity to eat at Sichuan Gourmet. I highly recommend the double-cooked bacon! Indeed. Any other local eateries/drinkeries/male strip clubs she should seek out? Today I bickered with my own wife about stupid inconsequential stuff. Feel bad, though not bad enough to be the one to apologize. Apologizing sucks.
Hopstretch
Any other local eateries/drinkeries/male strip clubs she should seek out? Oga's just down Rt. 9 in Natick is about as good as sushi gets around here. Apologizing sucks. But no one sucks until you do.
Salt Peanuts
Oga's just down Rt. 9 in Natick is about as good as sushi gets around here. Agreed. Unfortunately, the Framingham area is lacking in really good eateries (there are couple decent Jewish-style delis, but they're not something I'd recommend for someone coming from NYC). Tomasso on Rt. 9 in Southborough is a nice Italian place and it also has its own market/sandwich shop (Panzano) in the same building.

CarlSeibert
Mixed and somehow manipulated concrete for what is turning out to be the most over-wrought small speaker stands in history. Concrete is strange stuff.
tyrion
My 2 week old car after I attempted to swerve out of the way of an older lady who pulled out of a parking lot in front of me. n_maher
Is that blinker fluid leaking out? Pisser Mike, at least it appears to be entirely cosmetic and something that should be able to be put to good as new status in short order.

tyrion
that is his pride leaking out, i think. Thanks to everyone, it does suck, but it will fixed. I can't wait to see the rental I get from Enterprise.
swt61
I agree, that is heartbreaking. As Nate said, that should be good as new though. Sorry Mike.
Grahame
At least you got the "first scratch on my shiny new car" episode over and done with, and in some style. (You call that a scratch!).
MexicanDragon
That truly does blow, Mike. Sorry to hear/see. If you need someone to cut 'er for ya, LMK. The Monkey
She did say she was sorry that she didn't see me. Admission! Sue that old bag for every gold bar she's got hidden under the mattress. Thanks to everyone, it does suck, but it will fixed. I can't wait to see the rental I get from Enterprise. Insure the hell out of that thing and mess up the old lady's flowers by using said rental as a plow. I'm feeling aggressive.

Aimless1
Interesting. When faced with a similar situation I sent $50 of flowers with a short hand written note. In my case the 80+ yr old lady was truly reticent and I did it to help her through the self torture/pity she was heaping on herself. Her son called to thank me!
