Duggeh Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Went over the new house plumbing with plumber. Hand stitched pads for the Thunderdome. Celebrated my brothers 18th birthday at the Railway pub quiz.
melomaniac Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 nursing sunburn, rushed through insane amounts of office work (powered by headphones, of course...), almost caught up with things, then another onslaught of new stuff, like a tsunami - and august is supposed to be slow... therefore, took a break to fix two shelves in a closet. picnic lunch, pick up kids, drop off kids (phew!), more work. bought plane tickets for family trip. managed to sneak a short round of Lost Planet on the xbox before setting the dinner table. mixed some drinks. getting ready to fire up a movie...
The Monkey Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Tried to get people to make decisions. Failed. Made the decisions for them.
swt61 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Went over the new house plumbing with plumber. Hand stitched pads for the Thunderdome. Celebrated my brothers 18th birthday at the Railway pub quiz. Is a hooker the standard 18th year Birthday present over there, as it is here?
Duggeh Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Is a hooker the standard 18th year Birthday present over there, as it is here? I got him an Xbox 360 game. The game is a bit of a no go though because his Xbos360 broke for the 5th time a couple of days ago. I didn't get a hooker for my 18th. Although I've actually still got a chocolate Champagne bottle with "Happy Birthday Doug" on it. After 6 years it looks a bit foosty.

randerson3024 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Rubbed one out, got up, went to work.
The Monkey Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Dinner with my wife, then a movie. Nice night.
Hopstretch Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Packed up for trip to South Carolina. I like being on holiday, but I hate going on holiday. Grr. See you in a week.
DigiPete Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Took my boy to Scouts this morning for their first shooting day The troop has purchased 22s for each of the boys.
Icarium Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Beer for Breakfast! (Deschutes Brewery Cindercone).
Salt Peanuts Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Drove back from NY after attending my wife's cousin's wedding yesterday. The ceremony was beautiful and it was a gorgeous day yesterday, albeit bit humid. It was exhausting, though, and we're glad that we should be wedding-free for the next year or two.
n_maher Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Mowed. Hung out with Lily in the kiddie pool for an hour or so. I just looked, it's 89 in the shade so I don't expect to go out much for the rest of the day.

I just looked, it's 89 in the shade so I don't expect to go out much for the rest of the day. Lol. It is 104F with 30% humidity here. I dropped a package in the mail today to enable Colin. I figure this is always a good thing
The Monkey Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 It's about 179F here today. Went to a 3-year old's birthday party in Brooklyn. Jack hasn't napped. Won't eat. And is yelling at me because one of his fire engines isn't "going down enough."
boomana Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 My day started at 8AM with patients fighting because one had pissed on another's toothbrush a week ago, ejaculated into his milk, and spit in his Gatorade two days ago. The offender thought this was all perfectly reasonable as "I don't like the dude." The police were called in shortly after for an unrelated event, and then things started going downhill. It's 7PM and I'm going to bed. Sometimes that's the only healthy response to the world.
n_maher Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Lol. It is 104F with 30% humidity here. Even now the humidity is still in the 60s, I'd guess it was every bit of that earlier when the temps were in the mid 90s. It was, in a word, disgusting.

The heatwave started in June this year, and there's been no relief in sight. It's about 179F here today. OK, you got me beat!

guzziguy Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Vicki, I have no idea what they are paying you but I can't believe it's near enough.

More like Randle McMurphy's alter ego.
