Duggeh Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Maybe its the dynamic 2. where the .1 is an electrostatic subwoofer? *cough*
Hopstretch Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Now I'm just waiting on my new soldering station to arrive so I can do some "sissy woodburning" on the speakers. Hmmm, I'm thinking a big portrait of Devine on the sides. I vote for Kuato.
lostonetr Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 woke up really late. feel useless. will put in some chores/cleaning though to at least feel semi productive.
Fitz Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Ripped out the kitchen cabinets, tore down a wall, rerouted some electrical wires, started to pull up the old flooring, etc.
Cankin Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I've done some readings about speaker. and just found out that NHT is closing its door Now Hear This: NHT Shuts Down - CE Pro Article from CE Pro
swt61 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Ripped out the kitchen cabinets, tore down a wall, rerouted some electrical wires, started to pull up the old flooring, etc. :o I guess I assumed you were a renter, due to your age. What's the scope of the project?
en480c4 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Ripped out the kitchen cabinets, tore down a wall, rerouted some electrical wires, started to pull up the old flooring, etc. Sounds like a fun little project. My kitchen remodel continues... Cabintes are in, ceiling and most of the walls are good to go and . Just got the light fixtures squared away yesterday. Now it's onto the switches and outlets, appliances, backsplash, counter, cabinet doors & hardware, pantry shelving and flooring. Good luck!
Duggeh Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Worked on my dissertation, sorted out the last details for the annual monster pub crawl, worked some more on my dissertation. Ate too many biscuits and got indigestion. Procrastinated a lot online.
The Monkey Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Tried to rollover my 401k from former employer and was told that one computer program still had me listed as an active employee, so it can't be processed for 1-2 business days. As nicely as possible I told them, There's a reason I want it today, assholes, and it's been 6 months since I left. Fix it NOW. I was told that they'll call me back today when the problem is fixed. I'm going to file that it the not very fuckin' likely pile.
grawk Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 You're a lawyer, make it uncomfortable for them
cetoole Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Socy409 take home midterm. Finished up at ~4:30. Man, so tired today, but this is basically half my grade.
jinp6301 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 BE410 take home individual modeling project due at 2pm today. Finished at 1:59
Fitz Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 :o I guess I assumed you were a renter, due to your age. What's the scope of the project? Heh, nah, it's my parent's house, I'm just staying here for now because the rent is cheaper (and due to some special circumstances... ingwe knows what I mean), which means I've also become the guy stuck with doing home repairs and improvements. It's a kitchen remodel... removing the wall between it and the "dining room" (a useless tiny area off the living room) to make it much bigger and more open, and also allowing an island to be added. Also widened the doorway between the kitchen and the entry hallway today. The linoleum floors (and carpet from the "dining room") are all being replaced with new hardwood floors (contractor is gonna fix a couple sagging joists to level out the floor before we can put it down... it's an old house), getting new cabinets and granite countertops (bye bye formica), recessed can lighting, actual sheetrock on the walls instead of wood paneling, etc. Already got new appliances last year, and have previously built a pantry off part of the "breakfast area" (which is bigger than the so-called "dining room") since it was wider than the main part of the kitchen (L-shaped). I spent a good part of today crawling around in the attic to reroute more electrical wiring. Fuckin' attic has about 3' at the apex and 18" where the light fixtures were, and when new insulation was put in at some point the idiots ran it perpendicular to the joists to save effort so it's not like I could just get a good spot laying down on my side across the joists. Oh, and to get into said attic, you have to go into the basement, and climb up a "ladder" made across the top of the stairwell. So yeah, today pretty much sucked.
aardvark baguette Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) Thats pretty much it. Very slow day today Edited March 11, 2009 by aardvark baguette
The Monkey Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 To my former employer's credit, they resolved the issue and I was able to initiate the distribution today. And the "Cars" Potty Sear arrived today to much fanfare and joy. My son likes it, too.
Hopstretch Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 And the "Cars" Potty Sear arrived today to much fanfare and joy. My son likes it, too. We're going through that with my daughter right now. "Doo doo, or doo doo not. There is no try!"
The Monkey Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 And the "Cars" Potty Sear arrived today to much fanfare and joy. My son likes it, too. Just to clarify, the item that arrived today is, indeed, a potty seat, and not a potty sear, which likely would be considerably less fun for my son.
The Monkey Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 To my former employer's credit, they resolved the issue and I was able to initiate the distribution today. Glad I pressed them to cut the check yesterday because god forbid I allow myself to participate in a 200+ point rally. There's a reason I did not become a trader.
guzziguy Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Don't worry, none of the traders have crystal balls either.
Hopstretch Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Don't worry, none of the traders have crystal balls either. Only because their big, swinging dicks would shatter them.
jinp6301 Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Saw my school beat UMBC for the American East championship. Exciting but for the fact that theyre gonna get their asses kicked whoever they play next then went to the driving range to hit some balls for the first time this year
