riceboy Posted October 19, 2008 Author Report Posted October 19, 2008 Went pumpkin picking with my family. It was great
Salt Peanuts Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Mowed lawn, did some laundry, and finally got around to changing the filter in the furnace.
Aura Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Went pumpkin picking with my family. It was great Did that last weekend with the parents . Nothing quite like a pumpkin patch in the fall. Had some people over last night, so barely got any sleep. Woke up, ate, and sitting at pc now.
en480c4 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Finished priming the vanity, beadboard wainscoting and chair rail in the bathroom, and got a coat of primer on the drywall to help highlight areas that need attention. Still need a couple of patches in the drywall, but it's finally starting to look like things are coming together.
krrm Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Some garden work, put winter tires on the car and thoroughly cleaned the barrel of my rifle. And ain't that a good excuse to put up another gun image? It is a Tikka M65, but mine is "left handed".
bperboy Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Found out I only have 3 finals for fall quarter..
Hopstretch Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Got woken up at 3 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. Another symptom of advancing age, I'm told. My ass is seriously dragging today.
grawk Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 woke up at 8:45. Made it to my meeting 85 miles south (in dc) at 10:30. With 15 minutes to spare.
Salt Peanuts Posted October 21, 2008 Report Posted October 21, 2008 Stayed late at work for a meeting, then came home to find a Duet cable from Nate waiting for me. Now the Duet is connected to my speaker rig.
Pars Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Stayed employed... some weren't so lucky.
n_maher Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Stayed employed... some weren't so lucky. Ouch.
aardvark baguette Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 I was going to complain about being overworked this afternoon, but I guess that would be out of place right now. awwwwk warrrrrrd
laxx Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Went to the Bronx Zoo and walked around for a few hours. It's cold as a mother fucker.
LFF Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Went to the Bronx Zoo and walked around for a few hours. It's cold as a mother fucker. Hot as hell here. It was 98 degrees F. here today. I sold my RS-1's, posted a few remasters, started working on other remasters and ate Thai food.
LFF Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Coldest I have experienced here was at Big Bear Lake when it was something like 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
grawk Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 i've never seen weather much colder than -54
LFF Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 i've never seen weather much colder than -54 I bet that was sweet. I love the cold. I sometimes wonder why I love California so much.
grawk Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 THAT was cold. I miss -20. I don't miss colder than -40.
laxx Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Coldest I've ever been in was on a ski trip, it was -15, felt like -40 windchill (all farenheit). It was around 40 today in NYC, but it was damn cold.
JBLoudG20 Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 IIRC, the coldest I've felt was 25 below, and that was in Northern Maine/Canada in late february. My poor dog couldn't piss, it was too cold for her. Shed try to pick her paws up, two at a time, until she just froze up and didnt move much.
grawk Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 My dog loved the cold. He was happiest when it was colder than -20. Until a bigger dog or some other animal tried to rip his leg off one winter morning. He was much less happy after that.
grawk Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Yah, he lived long enough to move south, get lyme disease, and attack my wife.
aardvark baguette Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 We used to lock each other in the freezer at Jerrys, which goes to -40. Good times.
