In thread search feature

Featured Replies

Some of the threads are just massive, and an in thread search feature would be nice.

there is one. when you're in a thread, type in the search box.

The search box in the upper left? That searches the entire forum.

no, it's context based.

What I meant is when you're in a thread and want to search for something just within that thread.

If you search while viewing the thread, it searches only the thread youre viewing

just tried it now, and it works :)

deepak, I want to know your secret indian food restaurants in queens, reply at food thread pronto!

are you dim today, deepak? the search searches whatever you are viewing. context based.

How about pointing out where this search feature is?

Because if I'm in the Stax thread and I search for lambda using the collapsible search feature in the upper left or the search button in the toolbar to the left of "profile" it still searches the entire forum. The first result that comes up is a post from dc's feedback thread.

It's the search box in the toolbar at the top of each page (just below the date and time).

Yes thank you.

I normally have that part collapsed (I don't care how long I've been logged in). That works fine!

do you have the search box on the upper right?

Yup thanks man.

God damn this is a great feature. We tend to make big threads 'round these parts :kitty:

Yet another reason why people should put the artist and title of what they're listening to in the WAYLTRN? thread... I use this feature a ton there.
